KINGSTON ROCK has finished second in his last three starts. He showed good speed last time, but was outrun by Purple Powahouse in the latter stages. His conqueror takes part in Race 6 on today’s card and his progress in that race will be worth monitoring. The son of Bold Silvano has won once and finished second three times from five starts over this C&D. 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Jabu Jacobs steps back into the saddle and the pair should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
Race 8: BEAT IT (2)

BEAT IT ran a good race when finishing second over 1100m on this course last time. She finished 1.75 lengths behind BLUSH OF DAWN in her penultimate run and is 2.5kgs better off at the weights. That should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won once and finished third twice from five starts over this trip. From her good draw of two, she can get back to winning ways.
