Delpech delighted to be back in racing as Hollywoodbets Brand Ambassador
Durban – Hollywoodbets has taken a further impactful initiative in the horse racing industry by appointing its first official Horse Racing Brand Ambassador – renowned former champion jockey Anthony Delpech. This powerful partnership comes about after Delpech spent more than two years away from horse racing as a result of a career-ending accident.
Delpech is highly respected within horse racing as a winner of three South African Jockeys Championships and multiple Grade 1 races across the globe. This partnership with Hollywoodbets has come at the right time for the former jockey, as he was looking to stay actively involved in the sport he loves so much.
“It was a very difficult two years for me. I had to visit a sports psychologist to decide what I wanted to do in my life and I’m glad Hollywoodbets has given me an opportunity to get back into racing. It is also fantastic to be a part of a company that is so positive about racing,” said Delpech.
The former jockey, who has over 30 years of experience in horse racing, said that he hopes to use some of his experience to give back to the sport.
“In my new role I will assist with everything racing related, provide insight wherever possible and work to improve the success of the Hollywood Syndicate by adding graded races to the trophy cabinet,” he explained.

Aside from his work with the Hollywood Syndicate, Heffer looks forward to Delpech sharing his knowledge with the public.
“Anthony brings with him a wealth of horse racing knowledge which is invaluable to us as racehorse owners and we look forward to him assisting us in boosting the Hollywood Syndicate. This knowledge will also be used to introduce new blood into the game and showcase the incredible thrills and fun of the sport of horse racing to a greater audience” said Heffer.
