WINTER WAVES produced a promising debut effort over the minimum trip on this course. He lost a length at the start that day, but stayed on well at the finish. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of What A Winter would have gained from the experience and will enjoy the extra furlong on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should win.

CAFE PACIFICA has shown good improvement in each of his outings thus far. He stayed on well at the finish last time, but cost himself by hanging. The son of Capetown Noir will enjoy the rise in distance and if keeping on a straight line, can go one better here.

NATIVE TONGUE was his own worst enemy last time as he overraced in the early stages and lacked a finish up the straight. He finished 0.9 lengths behind SHARE HOLDER in his penultimate effort and is 3.5kgs better off at the weights. That should be enough for the tables to be turned. If switching off early, he should take a power of beating.

The son of Gimmethegreenlight will enjoy the extra distance on offer and has cracked a good draw. He should strip fitter and may have more to come.
