ANIKA THE ANGEL produced a good comeback run over this distance on the polytrack, two weeks ago. She set the pace that day, but as expected, lacked extra up the straight. She should strip much fitter for today’s race and from her mid-field draw, Tristan Godden is likely to ride her positively . The daughter of Wylie Hall may be tough to peg back in the closing stages. Trainer Shane Humby could fill the next two positions
Race 7: SEATTLE FORCE (2)

SEATTLE FORCE makes his way to KZN from the Highveld. He raced from a handy position last time and hung up the straight. It is encouraging that Marco van Rensburg steps back into the saddle today and if having his own way in front, he may be hard to peg back in the closing stages.

This is a weak Maiden Plate for the fillies and the best bet on the card is ALGARVE from the Gareth van Zyl stable. She has shown good improvement in each outing. She lost a length at the start last time, but the manner in which she finished off her race was eye-catching. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The extra distance on offer should suit her well and she may be hard to beat.
