Race 3
NEW UNIVERSE was rewarded for his consistency by winning last time out over this c&d and the manner in which he dealt with the opposition that day would suggest that he should follow up that victory today. GRESHAM is seldom far off the action and a repeat of his penultimate effort over the c&d would make him the immediate danger to the former. The blinkers come off for today’s run. LOTA CREEK GOLD posted a solid performance last time out over the c&d and could challenge for top spot. FIGHTING TEO steps up to a more suitable distance after a disappointing effort last time out over seven furlongs.

Race 4
GLOBAL CITIZEN finished a half-length off the winner when making his debut over six furlongs. He would have learnt from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he should exit the maiden ranks today. OSAYCAN is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has finished second in her last two outings over five furlongs and should be right up there in the dash down to the line. ACEPLAY has consistent formlines to his name and was just over two lengths behind the winner in his comeback run after a lengthy 42-week break. PHOENIX SHADOW has his first start in 21 weeks, but he put in a good barrier trial to illustrate his well-being and should not be troubled by the drop in distance.

Race 5
SEA RAIDER has won his first two starts over six furlongs and although he drops back in distance here, the hat-trick is very much on the cards. HERITAGE SASH has cracked pole position and has finished close up in his last three outings over six furlongs. He should be considered a big runner in this line-up. SHOOTING LOVE is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she was not disgraced in a higher class last time out over six furlongs and should do better at this level. KING OF THE DESERT has consistent formlines to his credit. He returns from a 10-week rest and has the widest draw of them all, but he won his barrier trial and should be respected today.

Race 6
DREAM BUILDER has ultra-consistent form to his name and won last time out over 2100M and may be able to follow up here. BULLET SHOT lost his jockey at the start of his last outing, but won his penultimate start over the c&d and should be right up there, starting from pole position. ROMAKASH, on the other hand, is drawn one from the outside gate, but he was close up last time out over this c&d and remains a threat here. BRUMBY JACK steps up in distance, but if taking to the extra ground on offer, he should be respected.

Race 7
SOXAGON returns from a 19-week break and no barrier trial, but he had consistent form to his name prior to the rest and from his mid-field draw he is likely to turn in another honest performance here. SOFIE’S GOLD CLASS is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys, but she attempts her hat-trick today and although she has draw thirteen to overcome, she should not be lightly dismissed in this field. THE PINES is a 4yr old filly who has posted three solid runs over six furlongs and should be involved in the finish once again. MOSCINI also returns from a rest, this time after some 11 weeks. He has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, but starts from pole position and he did follow up his win over six furlongs three runs back with two encouraging efforts over the same distance.

Race 8
READY BABE is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she is two from two and the hat-trick is clearly within reach. She steps up slightly in distance, but there is nothing to suggest that this is not within her capabilities. FISTICUFFS has consistent formlines to his name and although drawn twelve, he could represent the biggest threat to the top selection. He attracted plenty of betting support in his last outing and will be looking to make amends here. BARODA is another 3yr old filly. She narrowly missed out on her trio of wins when just 0.7L behind the winner last time out over the c&d. SCOUT showed marked improvement last time out over the c&d and if able to confirm that effort, he should be considered here.

Race 9
GREAT KEPPELL was only beaten a short-head in his last outing over 1300M. He has a wide draw of gate eleven, but he will be chasing down the frontrunners at the business end of affairs. MR TICKETS lost by the same margin in his last start over 1500M. He has a far kinder draw of six and is another who should be making good late progress in the latter stages of the contest. DESERT KNIGHT followed up his win over the c&d with two solid performances, one over the same trip and the other over 1100M. From draw five, he should be a factor today. JEDAFFAIR is a 4yr old filly taking on males. She has her second run after an 18 week rest but has pulled pole position and should not be overlooked in this line-up.
