Race 1
UPRISE has shown consistent form and was staying on well in his last start over six furlongs, suggesting that the 1300M will be to his liking. SCARLEO looks to be his immediate danger after running on strongly last time out over 1100M. INLAND RETREAT is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has only had the one run, finishing third just a length and a half behind the winner over five furlongs. She is sure to have come on since then and could trouble the top two selections. KING RATEL is another who has only had the one outing, but he was some way off the winner. He would have learnt from the experience and could make his presence felt here.

Race 2
TRUST THE PROCESS drops sharply in class after fading in his last outing in a feature race over 1500M in heavy going. He has won at this track in the past and is a leading contender in this field. WAR DECK was narrowly beaten when favourite in his last start over this distance. He has the widest draw of them all, but he should be picking off the frontrunner is the dash down to the line. THE DOCTOR’S SON finished strongly last up over 1500M, suggesting that the extra ground will suit him and he too can be expected to be doing his best work late. FIRST LADY is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she is seldom far off the action. She finished third last time out over a mile and could be involved in the finish here.

Race 3
TRI NATIONS finished powerfully to win his maiden race last time out over 1300M when returning from a 18-week rest, suggesting that he should enjoy the extra ground on offer today. OUTAHAND was a surprise winner of his last outing when starting at long odds to win his maiden over 1300M. He got up to win that race in the shadow of the post and he should feature in this contest, despite jumping from a wide draw. RENT A ROCK won well over six furlongs when returning from a 21-week break in his penultimate outing and was staying on nicely in his next run over 1500M. He should be right up there in the mix. EXPRESS COURIER stayed on well to win his maiden in his last run over seven furlongs and seems suited to the mile. He takes on slightly stronger here, but he may be up to the task at hand.

Race 4
SEVENTH SEAL returns from a 38-week break after having had just the one run over five furlongs. He has had three encouraging barrier trials since then. He resumes at a lesser centre and looks cherry-ripe to win here. FULL OF FIRE comes back from an even longer 40-week rest. He finished a close up third over this distance before the break and will have 1.5kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice. VOL PRIVE is another to race in a lesser center and should be running on well in the closing stages. If not finding this trip too sharp, she could be involved in the finish today. DIAMOND AFFAIR has her first outing for her new trainer and brings fair form into the race. If settled into her new surroundings, she should be considered in this line-up.

Race 5
ELTHAM PALACE likes to race up with the speed and was only 0.2L behind the winner in her last outing over this trip. She was well supported in the betting that day and will be hoping to make amends here. NOBODY’S PUPPET is a 6yr old mare taking on males, but she finished well to be a close up third in her last start over five furlongs. She jumps from a handy draw and will have the added advantage of having 2kgs taken off her allocated weight thanks to her claiming apprentice. FARTHING WOOD returns from a 36-week break. She finished well in her last outing over five furlongs and should be charging at the leaders in the closing stages of today’s contest. CHARLIE CHAP improved when dropping down to this five-furlong trip last time out and if he has continued along that path, he should be considered for all bets.

Race 6
This looks to be an open affair and some caution is advised. PEYTON PLACE’S last two runs over this trip have been solid and he finished strongly to win his latest. He looks to have a strong chance of completing the double here. BART returns from a 22-week rest, but he won his barrier trial, so could challenge for top spot. He has a wide draw to beat and drops in distance, but on his better form, he would be one of the leading contenders in this field. HEAVEN ON EARTH is another who returns from a break, this time after 18 weeks. She is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she narrowly missed out on completing her hat-trick last time out over six furlongs and will be hoping to get back to winning ways here. COUP DE MAIN likes to race up with the speed and could prove difficult to overhaul in the closing stages of the race.

Race 7
AZOUSTIC has consistent formlines to his name and was only 1.2L behind the winner last time out over seven furlongs. He won his penultimate outing over that same distance and could be the one that they all have to beat here. BIGGER THAN THORN raced up with the pace when victorious last time out over six furlongs. He showed determination that day and rates a big threat to the former, despite that last win being his maiden victory. CANDY BAR gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time. He has a wide draw to overcome, but he should use his early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy. PROPOSE TO ME won first time out over six furlongs. She steps up slightly in trip and takes on stronger, but she might just be up to the task at hand.
