Race 4.

SACRED SUITE missed out on his hat-trick last time out when finishing second over a mile, just over two lengths behind the winner. He had to be restrained at the start that day and should have finished closer to the victor as a result. From his handy draw three, he looks to be the one to side with here. NYAMI jumped awkwardly before staying on well to finish fourth in his last start over 1900M, four lengths behind the winner. He also finished fourth over today’s distance in his penultimate outing, just over a half-length back from the winner. He has a wideish gate seven, but could be the biggest danger to the top choice. MONTSERRAT on the other hand has cracked pole position. He has shown steady improvement in his last three runs, culminating with a 0.8L win last time out over a mile, where he went from jump to wire. He steps up in trip here, but will get 2kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice to aid his cause.

Race 5.

NEW TYCOON has won two of his last three outings and raced up with the pace when winning his latest start over a mile by two and a half lengths. He kept going well to hold off all challengers over the closing stages and from pole position, he is likely to adopt similar tactics here. MY BLUE JEANS missed out on completing his hat-trick when ending up in third place last time out over 1300M, 1.4L adrift of the winner. He came wide into the straight that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. He will have to negotiate draw seven, but nevertheless, he should be right up there when they hit the line. CISCO BAY has finished second and third in his last two outings over 1900M, the latest when 3.4L behind the winner. He was reported to have suffered from heat stress after that race, so under the circumstances, the effort was pleasing. He is drawn one outside the latter and should be included in all bets.

Race 6.

EASIFAR has only had the three runs to date, finishing second on debut, third next time out and then winning her latest start over seven furlongs by two and a half lengths. She has a wide gate eleven to deal with, but she clearly has some ability and appears to be improving with each run. As such, she is taken to be the best bet on the card. EAST ASIA followed up her penultimate run victory over 1300M with a fourth place finish over the same trip next time out, just under two and a half lengths back from the victor. She has drawn wideish in gate seven, but on the plus side, she will have 3kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her claiming apprentice. INSTANT ATTRACTION also won her penultimate run, but in her case over seven furlongs and was then hampered shortly after the start before ending up in fifth place next time out over the same trip, 3.8L behind the winner. She has pulled pole position and should be involved in the finish.

Race 7.

SNOWFIRE goes for his trio of victories after putting three and a half lengths between himself and the opposition to win his last outing over a mile and did win his penultimate start over today’s trip, so the drop in distance should not be an issue. He returns from a 15 week rest and has put in a fair barrier trial to prove his well-being. He jumps from gate five and looks to be the value in the race. RAMMSTEIN had his consistency rewarded when winning by a neck last time out over six furlongs. He has a handy draw two and has won a subsequent barrier trial before coming into this contest. PAPAL WARRIOR is seldom far off the action and finished fourth in his last outing over 1500M, just under two lengths back from the winner. He did not have the clearest of passages in that race, which makes the effort that much more appealing. He jumps from draw seven and should be right up there in the mix.
