RACE 1

SESON from the Steven Burridge yard was extremely unlucky not to have won last time over 1200m. Interesting to note the son of Dalghar only career win came over 1400m.He is well placed again and should go close. BLACK QUAIL showed signs of form return when finishing 3rd on the 30th of January. The 7 year-old bay gelding is a course and distance winner. TAKHI showed good improvement last time and in what is a very open race, could pay to include the 4 year-old bay gelding.

RACE 2

The lightly raced MALIBU BEACH from the Ricardo Le Grange yard ran only six days on from his last start. He placed in both his career starts till date. The son of Malibu Moon tries the mile and may prove too good for this field. MASTER SOMMELIER is in good form and loves this distance. The 4 year-old bay gelding is the biggest danger to the top selection. QIJI STAR from the Donna Logan stable is seldom far off and must have a say here.

RACE 3

WINNING HOBBY you can ignore his last two starts when he was caught wide and could not quite get in the last 400m. He is better drawn here and will be a bigger threat this time. HEADHUNTER moved up last time and then stayed on for sixth. He will appreciate three-kilo claim and must have an each way chance here. RADIANT SUCCESS was badly interfered at the start on his local debut. The 4 year-old bay gelding made up some late ground and will strip fitter today.

RACE 4

DIAMOND MINE showed good improvement last time over this distance. The son of Gingerbread Man will strip fitter and can go close here. BEAT THE LIGHT from the Stephen Gray yard improved last time over 1400m and if fit and well he must have a say here. NADEEM SAPPHIRE continues to race off a nice rating and the Leslie Khoo stable are in good form (double last Sunday).

RACE 5

SUN TREK is an ex-Australian trained four-year old who was placed twice at Moonee Valley for team Hayes & Daberning. Leading apprentice jockey Hakim Kamaruddin is booked and they can prove hard to beat. SPEARHEAD from the Ong yard is often thereabouts and jockey JP Van Merwe retains the ride and he must have a say. The 5 year-old bay gelding VOLUNTAD is holding his form well. Interesting to note his best recent effort came over this distance when finishing second.

RACE 6

SPECIAL OPS was very unlucky last time out when finding issues in the home straight. The son of Reset should have finished closer that day. The distance shouldn’t be a problem and he could go one better today.  ROYAL PAVILION was impressive in his last win over 1800m. The 5 year-old bay gelding faces stiffer task today but can still make his presence felt.  WIND TRAIL stayed on well for third to Royal Pavilion last time out. The son of Screen Hero will relish the extra 200m. He has won one of three wins over 2000m.

RACE 7

HEARTENING FLYER has won 3 out 4 career starts to date. The 4-year old bay gelding is a progressive sort. Interesting to note he has had two good barrier trials and looks ready for a winning comeback. MAKKEM LAD from the Donna Logan yard is a gutsy sort when he gets his way in front. He doesn’t have the best of draws, but if he can overcome his wide draw without doing too much, he won’t be easy to pass. SPIRIT OF BANG another exciting Michael Clements prospect returning after a long absence more than a year. He has a handy draw and may need the run, but he’s been working in good fashion and a decent showing first time back won’t be a shock.

RACE 8

DECRETO from the KY Young stable has been runner-up in his last two outings. The son of Red Giant is well suited here and can turn the tables on Hero Star. The second selection HERO STAR had a good comeback run when winning his last start over this distance. He commands plenty of respect here. HIGH LIMIT from the Tan stable is in good form. The 6 year-old bay gelding drops in trip but must have a say here.

RACE9

MURAAHIB had every chance in his last start but peaked on his run late. He will strip fitter today and from a handy draw, he can turn the tables on Sincerely with a 3.5kgs turnaround. SINCERELY fought on gamely to win his last start with no weight on his back. He gets the 1kg claim and must have a say from pole position.  SUPER DYNASTY not exactly a model of consistency but from a good draw and with no weight on his back, he may have things his way again.

RACE 10

The ultra-consistent TRIPLE BOWL is yet to win since moving from Malaysia where he won his only start. The 5 year-old bay gelding gets the blinkers on and must have strong claims here. LEGEND OF THE SUN is knocking on the door and six furlongs would have been better but if they roll along, he can still threaten in this as he comes from off the pace. SACRED GIFT had a decent comeback run. The son of Zoustar raced in stronger company not too long ago. He gets a four-kilo claim and from barrier 2 he will be thereabouts.
