PLACE ACCUMULATOR – R216 (Starts RACE 4)

1,7,10/2,10,12/1,5,6/3,4/1,2/1/2,5

RACE 1

TAKHI from the Lim yard has been runner-up in his last two starts. The 4-year old bay gelding is back over a mile and should be right there in the finish. RUNMINDERBINDERRUN won his last start well over this distance on the 6th of March and can go back to back here. The top weight CATCH THE TIGER from the Shane Donald Baertschiger stable is in good form and the 3kg claim is a big help here for the son of Dream Ahead.

RACE 2

ELLIOT NESS from the Mark Walker stable ran a cracker on debut when finishing a close-up second. The 3-year old chestnut gelding will strip fitter today. Interesting to note he gets the services of champion jockey Vlad Duric and should shed his maiden tag. CON SPERANZA far from disgraced in a couple of starts so far and has more to offer going forward. The unraced ILLUSTRIOUS has had a very nice barrier trial and hails from a stable in good form.

RACE 3

WAR PRIDE returns from a long break. He served notice of his current form at his winning barrier trail on the 4th of March. He would have preferred grass but trails well on the polytrack, blinkers off and can go well fresh. GALAXY STAR from the Shane Donald Baertschiger yard has had a good comeback run when finishing third over this distance last month. The son of Fastnet Rock will strip fitter today. AUTUMN RUSH will strip fitter after first run from a layoff. The son of Keano is a polytrack specialist. Improved run on the cards here.

RACE 4

GODFATHERS returns from a long break, but a race full of dead wood and it could be worth siding with the top weight who is rated 14 points higher than the nearest rival. KAKADU from the Meagher yard had a good comeback run when finishing second over this distance last month and possibly the biggest danger to the top selection. WISHUPONASTAR had a fair comeback run on the 6th of March and will strip fitter today.

RACE 5

BE YOU has been runner-up in all three starts to date. The 3-year old bay gelding tries 1400m for the first time and can go one better today. INFINITE WISDOM ran a super second to Boomba in the Group 3 Singapore Golden Horseshoe (1200m) in December. He has a few barrier trails under the belt leading to his comeback. Don’t underestimate him. SPEEDY MISSILE a consistent sort who flashed home late for second last time over 1200m. He will relish the extra 200m.

RACE 6

POROSHIRI from the Hideyuki Takaoka stable has never looked the easiest ride in the world but this is a poor race and this could be his day. LIM’S RHYTHM has moved stables now and the booking of Danny Beasley is eye-catching. MIGHTY EMPEROR has the talent but can be hard to predict and if in the mood, he can go close here.

RACE 7

SACRED CROIX from the Mark Walker stable more proven on turf but still closed in steadily on the polytrack mile last start. The son of Savabeel is drawn well and should be right there. MURAAHIB is improving with every run under a new training regime. He tries the mile for the first time but gives the impression he can see out the distance now that he is older. The wide draw doesn’t help, but he’s not far from bouncing back to winning ways. MAKANANI from Hideyuki Takaoka stable needs more ground but showed at her last start she can still be a force to reckon with.

RACE 8

HARRY DREAM impressive debut winner last time and that form is working out well. Champion trainer Michael Clements has found a nice race for her and she is the one to beat. COMING FAST showed signs of a form return last time out and if in the same form, he can go well here. ALMUGIR the stable companion to the top selection worth including with champion jockey Vlad Duric in the saddle.

RACE 9

FAME STAR from the Khoo stable is a classy sort who is dropping back to 1200m. He will be hard to beat if he has his way in front, though he may have to be used up from a wide draw to get there. CHURCHILL showed good improvement last time when finishing a close-up second to Grand Koonta. He should be right there. MINISTER returns from a long break and may need the run. He gets the three-kilo claimer on and can fill a minor spot if the pace is on.

RACE 10

RELENTLESS hard to get past won last race of last season in zero visibility, but has certainly been noticed on the training tracks. His in sparkling form and should be right there. SAVVY COMMAND winner of last start who has maintained the same form. He can handle both turf and poly. This is tougher, but at his peak, he can measure up to this. THE MARKSMAN has done nothing wrong in three starts. He has a nice turn of foot and will make his presence felt at the business end.
