RACE 1
CAVALLA COURT has been knocking on the door of late and it’s about time it opened for the Stephen Gray’s five -year old bay gelding. SUN CONQUEROR won well last time out and even though he is drawn wide, he can go close again here. AMAZING CHOICE a winner last week over 1200m. He backs up quickly and is in good order.
RACE 2
GOLDEN SPRINT stable have hit form with a double last week and the 3-year old bay gelding has some good form under his belt. He is the one to be with here. ACE SOVEREIGN would have come on from the defeat at the hands of Real Efecto and can play a leading role here. AL MEQDAM had a fair local debut last time out. The son of Exceed And Excel will strip fitter today.
RACE 3
ABLEST ASCEND progressive sort who had to battle a little to get the job done last start, but the win was still full of merit. He picks up 3.5kgs for that win but that should not slow him down. COUSTEAU showed good improvement last time and the 6-year old bay gelding will strip fitter. TRIPLE BOWL two runs back, ran a close-up third to Kharisma, who is contesting in the Kranji Stakes race later. No weight on his back, include in all bets.
RACE 4
PHAXE from the Ricardo Le Grange yard is in good form and should shed his maiden tag today. EASYLIGHTS has changed stables and had a good barrier trial for a strong win recently, one to watch here. SHOWBOUND from the Mark Walker stable is seldom far off and must be considered with champion jockey Vlad Duric up.
RACE 5
SESON from the Steven Burridge yard had a good barrier trial and the booking of four-time champion jockey Vald Duric is a massive tip in itself. CHARMING DIAMOND disappointing of late but is on his last winning mark and wouldn’t shock if he returned to form. SUN ELIZABETH better last time but is once again drawn wide.
RACE 6
LIM’S DREAMWALKER hasn’t looked the most straightforward at times, but has the ability and connections have found a lovely race to finally break the maiden tag. The one to beat if all goes to plan. WAWASAN the return to 1000m is a plus and should be bang in there when the whips are cracking. BIG BAD MAMA has had a break and should put herself right there from the outset on the back of a good effort last December.
RACE 7
IMPLEMENT will find this easier and the distance more up his alley. Won’t be surprised if he lands a blow with a late charge. His drawn wide but should be right there. SHEPHERD’S HYMN freshened up since disappointing last start. Might have been backed up too quickly, but back on his game in track work. GOLD REWARD first run for Ricardo Le Grange yard. He may find this a touch short but still has a place chance.
RACE 8
FOUNTAIN OF FAME went close last time out over this course and distance and can go one better here in a very weak affair. FORT MUSTANG you can put a line through his last run, was found to be distressed post-race. Prior to that last run, he was in good form. BALOR fair run when last seen and has a better draw this time around and must have a say.
RACE 9
TOP KNIGHT top miler making his comeback run. His looking in sparkling form on the training tracks and in his barrier trial. He can go well fresh and can even win despite the trip been too sharp for him. ZAC KASA from the Mark Walker yard had a fair comeback run last time. The son of Reset will strip fitter and must have a say here. SKYWALK getting on but is honest as the day is long. Has superior form on the polytrack, but if on song, he will be right there.
RACE 10
SURE WILL DO promising sort who won on his first attempt on the poly last time out. He has a wide draw to overcome but still the one to beat here. SACRED GIFT had the race all won but Paletas came from nowhere to nab him on the line. He can finish in the money again. ALWAYS INNOCENT found the line in softer company last start. Back in a Class 4 but he seems to have maintained his form.
RACE 11
HEARTENING FLYER likely short-priced favourite. He would have tested winner Kharisma had he drawn better in his last outing. He jumps from a better draw this time and looks hard to beat. SAVVY COMMAND fought on and only gave up inside the last furlong last time and he must have a say here. QUADCOPTER from the Hideyuki Takaoka stable is better than his last two starts and can feature here.
RACE 12
VULCAN not exactly a model of consistency but he will probably get the run of the race from a good draw. With a bit of luck, he can bounce back to form here. ENTERTAINER goes for three-in-a-row but might be vulnerable from a poor draw, but must be respected here. QARAAT showed vast improvement in his last start. Could be a sign of a return to his old form.
