Race 4

DIP ME LID had to be switched coming into the straight before battling all the way down to the wire to finish second over ten furlongs last time out. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and although drawn the widest of them all in gate ten, he is likely to be dropped out of the race early and should be mowing down the frontrunners over the closing stages of the race. As such, he is made the best bet on the day’s program. SHARLIE is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she on the other hand, has cracked pole position. She missed out on her hat-trick when finishing fifth last time out over a mile, just over three lengths behind the winner. She stayed on well that day and on that performance, she should have no problem getting the extra trip today. BOUDDI has won two of his last three runs, the last over this c&d by a neck. He is drawn in gate five and should be involved in the finish.

Race 5

HONEYSUCKLE CHOICE is a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she is seldom far off the action and finished third last time out over six furlongs, 3.6L back from the winner. The form of that race has been franked and from draw seven, she is taken to be the value bet on the card. CHARMING PAT has made steady improvement in his last three runs, culminating in a half-length win last time out over 1180M. He faces gate nine but should be right up there when they hit the line. EUROSAY looked a possible winner at the 100M mark, before being run out of it late to end up in third place, just over a length adrift of the victor. He will have to overcome a wide draw of 12, but he should be doing his best work late.

Race 6

CLEM FANDANGO followed up his penultimate run victory over a mile with a third-place finish next time out over ten furlongs, six lengths behind the winner. He clearly did not enjoy the step up in distance and quickly drops back to what appears to be a more suitable trip. He is drawn in gate eight and should be respected in this line-up. JAG has only had the three runs to date, but he did win by over two and a half lengths when making his debut over seven furlongs. He was a staying on sixth in his last start over nine furlongs, 3.8L adrift of the winner, and whilst he has to negotiate draw 10, he is likely to appreciate the drop in distance. POWER ME UP won his maiden race in his penultimate outing over a mile and then followed that up with a fourth-place finish over a mile next time out, six and a half lengths behind the winner. He has a much kinder draw two and should be included in all bets.

Race 7

HOWLOWCANYOUGO got going far too late when finishing fourth last time out over seven furlongs, three lengths back from the victor. If he is able to start his run sooner today, he could be the one to side with here, jumping from his draw three. CHIPSAREDOWN missed out on his hat-trick last time out when finishing ninth over 1300M, just over four lengths behind the winner. He has a wideish gate nine, but the drop in distance should be in his favor. COMMON PURPOSE came from a long way back before finishing fourth last time out over five furlongs, two and a half lengths back from the winner. The gelding was returning from a 19-week break that day and from gate four, he should be right up there in the mix.
