Race 1
CANNY MOVE is an eight-time winner and goes for a hat-trick of wins this afternoon. He looks difficult to oppose on paper and must be respected in the opening contest. OH MO narrowly failed last time out on this track and looks the obvious threat to the top selection. CROCKETT possibly needed his last start and on his form shown before the break, he can pose a threat to the top selection.
Race 2
ENLIST is a juvenile facing older rivals but he finished right up there in his debut effort and still has plenty of scope for improvement. ANOTHER WARD is also a juvenile but she will have strengthened during the break and can continue to make natural progress in this contest. ZEGRESTO has placed third in all three of her starts and she should run into the money again.
Race 3
BAD HABITS improved nicely in his second outing and looks to be coming along the right way. He interestingly gets the nose-band fitted this afternoon and if this has the desired effect, he may have the scope to go on and win this contest. OUT PROVEN found plenty support in the market last time when finishing runner-up and she looks the biggest danger to the top selection. ALLAYEZ is a battling maiden but he often pops up in the places and must be respected.
Race 4
SWANKYTOFF won last time out on a soft track at Bordertown and it is encouraging that Jorsjo has retained the ride this afternoon. That effort was just one week ago and now he returns to his home track. DOWN THE LANE is a maiden taking on winners but she found plenty support in the market last time which would suggest she is showing some potential in her work back at home. The veteran CENTENARY SHOT is better than his last two starts and he will benefit from a 4kgs claiming apprentice in the irons.
Race 5
DEVONTE and EXALTED GOLD weren’t far apart last time out at Morphettville and the pair look like they could fight out the finish of this contest. There is not much between them at the weights but the latter will benefit from a 2kgs apprentice allowance. SONIC DEED has been rested after a disappointing last start but she performs well under Dom Tourneur and can run into the places of this contest.
Race 6
The grey CRYPTO CURRENCY fought gamely with Gucci Guy last time out at Strathalbyn. That was after a layoff and the son of Crackerjack King still has plenty of scope for improvement, having only had the three starts to date. MISS ARTIER has won twice this season and it is encouraging that her most recent triumph came in soft underfoot conditions. SIGN OF USSURI is better than his last run and the form of his previous runs at Bendigo and Sandown, has worked out positively.
Race 7
ICECRUSHER recorded his recent win in yielding conditions and with soft going predicted, he could make it back-to-back wins this afternoon. He also performs very well under Jason Holder. BEEOKAY hasn’t run a bad race for a while now and he jumps from a neat draw this afternoon. He will appreciate the sting out the ground and can pose a serious threat to the top selection. HEROES QUEST had attractive form before his layoff and if returning fit, then he will have a say in this contest.
