Race 1.
Four 4yr old fillies look to dominate the finish to this the opening event of today’s program and they could complete the quartet. FIRST STRIKE improved when beaten a head last time out over six furlongs and although dropping in trip here, she could be the one to side with today. FISHY returns from a 22 weeks break and has not had a barrier trial. She did finish second in her last outing before the break and will get 3kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. ROSEICAPILLA has her first run after a 29-week rest. She has also not had the benefit of a barrier trial, but she has cracked pole position and should be considered in this line-up. MANHATTAN MONEY returns from a lengthy 37 week break and has her first run for her new stable. If fully acclimatized in her new environment and not too much in need of the run, she should be respected.

Race 2.
MISTER KRUMPETS has finished second three times on the trot over seven furlongs and will be hoping to go one better today by taking a small drop in distance. BRUCEY BOY was only beaten 1.3L on debut over six furlongs. He would have learnt from the experience and with the natural experience that can be expected, he could challenge the former. EMPOWERED showed good improvement last time out when dropping from seven furlongs down to six furlongs and may suit this trip. COCKY ED also improved in his last outing when just over a half-length behind the winner. He is not without hope in this contest.

Race 3.
Two 5yr old mares may be able to secure the exacta here. EXCARO followed up her penultimate victory over this c&d with a solid effort over the same c&d. From pole position, she could be the one that they all have to beat. WOCKNWOLL has her first outing since a 29 week rest, but she missed out on her hat-trick when dropping down to this distance before the break and will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways today. ANOTHER DEMON finished a close up fourth last time out over six furlongs and is sure to enjoy the drop in distance. BOS TAURUS showed improvement in his last outing over six furlongs and a repeat of his effort three runs back over this trip would see him involved in the finish here. He gets 3kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice.

Race 4.
WATTO’S FURY goes for his hat-trick here after winning his last start over the c&d. Jumping from draw six, this is very much on the cards. DALGARANGA won his last outing over 1300M easing up and should appreciate the extra ground on offer today. DON’T SPEED is a 7yr old mare taking on the boys, but she was only narrowly beaten last time out over this distance. Her cause will be assisted by having 3kgs taken off ger back for the services of her claiming apprentice. MAJOR MAMBO has his first run for his new trainer and takes a sizable drop down on distance. If fully acclimatized in his new surroundings and if not finding the trip on the sharp side, he should be right up there when they hit the line.

Race 5.
A 3yr old and a 4yr old filly could fight out the finish to this race, which is made that much more interesting by the fact that they are drawn in gates two and one respectively. TAJMALI has consistent formlines to her name and posted a victory over this c&d last time out. She is preferred to PASTRY who returns from a 25 week break. She did however finish second in her last run over the c&d before her rest and if not too much in need of the run, she should keep the top selection honest. INDIAN CHANT missed out on his hat-trick last time out over seven furlongs and should be suited to the drop in distance. He looks to be the obvious danger to the top two selections. MAGNIFORCE followed up his penultimate win over 1300M with an encouraging last effort over seven furlongs. He should be right up there in the mix.

Race 6.
HERRON SAND is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys. She returns from a 27 week rest, but was seldom too far off the action before the break. REVEL has his first start since a 42 weeks absence, but he has put in two solid barrier trials to prove his well-being. He is drawn one from the outside which won’t make things easy for him, but he did win over this distance three runs back. RYDON won his last start to exit the maiden ranks and has pulled pole position. He should be one for the shortlist. RAPID EYE MOVEMENT is a 3yr old filly who has her first run since a 19 week break and her first for her new trainer. She has not had the benefit of a barrier trial and is drawn the widest of them all, but her overall form is good enough for her to be involved in the finish here.

Race 7.
KNIGHT TEMPEST has consistent form to his name and finished two lengths behind the winner last time out, over 1300M at this track. From draw five he should be right up there in the firing line. ABOARD is a 3yr old filly taking on males. She won her maiden race last time out over the c&d and will jump from a handy three draw. She takes on stronger today, but nevertheless should not be overlooked. NORD AVENIR is a 4yr old filly who has not been far off the winner in her last three outings. She is stuck out wide at gate thirteen, but she should be doing her best work in the latter stages of the race. BANTRY returns from a 27 week rest and has not had a barrier trial, so her fitness will need to be taken on trust. On some of his better form however, he should be included in the play here.
