Race 1
THE ITALIAN JOB was disappointing second time out after making an encouraging debut over this trip and was immediately rested for 19 weeks. He returns here after putting in a good barrier trial and could be the one that all have to beat. DUSTYPARK has not been too far behind the winner in his last three starts and looks to be the immediate danger to the former. JESSCINTA RISING is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she should improve on a fair debut over five furlongs. Her 2kg apprentice allowance will aid her chances. BRIARIC is also a 4yr old filly. She has her first run after an 18-week rest and drops down to the six furlongs. She should be considered here.

Race 2
TOVARICH has consistent formlines to his credit and finished well last time out over five furlongs. He has to come from draw eight, but he should be doing his best work late. SHAPE SHIFTER is a 3yr old filly taking on males. She finished 1.5L behind last time out over five furlongs when returning from a 21 week rest and if not in need of one more outing, she should be involved in the finish here. MISS QUOTED is a 5yr old mare who returns from a 12-week break. She drops in trip after three runs over further and may do better as a result. RETURN is a 4yr old filly who will also drop in distance today, but she will get 3kgs taken off her back courtesy of her claiming apprentice.

Race 3
A 5yr mare and a 4yr old filly who are drawn alongside each other could fight out the finish to this race and MISS MERIT is given the nod. She won her last outing over this distance and will get 3kgs removed from her allocated weight for the services of her claiming apprentice. THE WITCH DOCTOR returns from a lengthy 59-week break, but has had the benefit of solid barrier trials and could chase the former home. ARGOON followed up his penultimate victory over six furlongs with an encouraging next effort over the same trip. He returns from a 33-week rest, but if not too much in need of the run, he should be respected today. DOLLY’S DREAM is a 4yr old filly who although finishing fourth last time out over this distance, was just a half-length behind the winner.

Race 4
SOULSANA showed good improvement last time out when 2.7L behind the winner over seven furlongs. He gets a 2kg claiming apprentice in the saddle and jumping from gate seven. He should be right up there when they hit the line. METALLIC QUEEN is a 5yr old mare taking on boys, but she is drawn two and should enjoy going the extra distance here. TELL ME THIS returns from a 31-week break and has not had a barrier trial. He drops down from a mile and is likely to be picking off the frontrunners in the dash down to the wire. MASSA MAC was a bit disappointing last time out over this distance, but if bouncing back to the form that saw him win his penultimate start over six furlongs, he should be a factor here.

Race 5
LITTLE FLIRT is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has cracked pole position and was not disgraced last time out when a half-length behind the winner over this distance. MISS HARLEY QUINN is a 7yr old mare who has her first run for her new trainer and will have 3kgs taken off her back for her claiming apprentice. If fully settled into her new surroundings, she should be considered here. I’M ICEY is drawn one from the outside, but he should be closing down on the leaders in the latter stages of the contest. FOXY ROYALE is a 7yr old mare who was 4.1L behind the victor last time out over seven furlongs. The drop in trip is sure to be to her liking.

Race 6
WHIM CREEK won over 1100M at the second time of asking and from draw three he could be good enough to complete the double here. DANI BELLA is 4yr old filly taking on males, but she gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time and if these have the desired effect, she could challenge the top selection. FOO TROUBLE has the widest draw of them all. He has his first run for his new conditioner and if acclimatized to this new environment, he should be respected here. POINT TAKEN is a 4yr old filly who steps up from the 1100M of her last outing, but will have a 3kg claiming apprentice in the irons to help in her task.

Race 7
ROMAN FLIRT is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she had her consistency rewarded when winning her maiden race last time out over the mile. She is drawn at gate four and is one of the leading contenders in this contest. BOMBAY STYLE won his last outing over 1500M and should have no problem with stepping up to the mile. His wide draw is a bit of a concern, however. UNRELIABLE won his maiden over a considerably longer ten furlongs, but if taking to the shorter journey, he should be right up there in the mix. ADRIAN MAKFI is seldom far behind the action and finished third over this distance last time out.

Race 8
INTERSTATE has consistent form to his name and won his last start over seven furlongs. He jumps from pole position and may prove difficult to topple here. STOCKYARD GOSSIP is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys, but she was 3.7L behind the winner last time out over the mile and should be involved in the finish today. AVALON BAY was just 0.8L behind the winner last time out over a mile and from draw three, he should be seen as a threat in this field. IS A BOMBSHELL is a 3yr old filly who steps up in trip from seven furlongs and despite facing a wide draw of eleven, she could be a factor here.

Race 9
The fillies/mares should be able to complete the quartet here with the top pick going to CELTIC DIVA who has consistent staying form to her name and only just failed by a short head to win her last outing over eleven furlongs. She has a wide draw of twelve, but nevertheless, she should be the one to be with here. UNENDING has a much kinder draw of three and drops from eleven furlongs where she was just 0.8L behind the winner last time out. FLYING TARGET steps up from a mile and if taking to the extra distance, she could feature in the finish. DEEP PURPLE showed marked improvement last time out when stepping up to eleven furlongs and if able to confirm the effort, she should not be discounted too quickly.
