Race 1.
Two 3yr old fillies could fight out the finish here with the top pick going to ROZEIRA who showed improvement last time out when third over 1300M, just 1.8L behind the winner. From her draw two, she could be the one to side with here. CENTRAL AMERICA is taken to chase her home. She also finished third in her last outing over six furlongs when returning from a 23 week break. The step up in trip should not be an issue. PHAT BEATS finished second on debut over five furlongs. He would have come on with the run under his belt and could threaten the top two selections. GENUINE AL makes his debut here and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, but any betting support for him should be respected.

Race 2.
FABULONH has posted two solid runs over this distance and should be right up there in the dash down to the wire. PRESSWAY was disappointing last time out when going the mile and quickly drops back in distance and is likely do better as a result. DRUMBEAT’S CHOICE was not too far back last time out, but a repeat of his penultimate effort over this c&d would make him a big runner in this line-up. LUCKY JACKSON missed out on his hat-trick last time out when a distant third over eleven furlongs. He takes a significant drop in trip, but will nevertheless be looking to bounce back to winning ways today.

Race 3.
Only six of the fifteen entrants in this race have had runs and as is always the case in these types of races, a close eye should be kept on the betting market to get some indication as what the various stables think about their chances of winning on debut.  Of the raced runners, PATTY’S FORTUNE may prove to be the best. She is a filly taking on the boys, but she stayed on well last time out over five furlongs and could make her experience count. OUR CALANTHA makes his debut today and will jump from gate two. He won his second barrier trials and if not too green, he may be able to challenge the former. MISS BARTY has improved with every one of her three barrier trials and has drawn pole position. QUEEN SWEEPER returns from a 17 week break, but put in an encouraging barrier trial and should be considered here.

Race 4.
ONE SHY RUBY is a filly taking on males, but she finished just 0.3L behind the winner when making her debut over five furlongs. She attracted plenty of betting support that day and from draw eight, she will be looking to make amends here. LE HEROS is drawn one inside the former and has his first run since a 14 week rest. He also finished second first time out over six furlongs and although not having had a barrier trial, he should be respected here. DISCO LIGHTS returns from an even longer 30 week break during which time he was gelded. He has had four barrier trials to prove his well-being and should be involved in the finish today. CHATTANOOGA LUCY is a filly who steps out for the first time and who has pulled pole position. She has had the two barrier trials and any betting support for her should be respected.

Race 5.
SHOTGUN SONNY has only had the two starts, but showed the expected improvement last time out over 1100M. He returns from a 11 week rest and is drawn eleven, but he looks to be the value in the race. MORE THAN LIKELY is a 3yr old filly taking on boys, but she did finish second last time out over six furlongs and has drawn pole position. BOOMING TOWN also finished second last time out over five furlongs and a repeat of that effort could see him trouble the top two selections. NIKOHLI BEAGLE finished third on debut over 1100M, just 1.6L behind the winner. He would have learnt from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he should be respected in this field.

Race 6.
BELLICOSE has finished second in his last two outings, the penultimate one being over the c&d when only a head behind the winner. He will start from gate six and should be right up there in the mix. WILCARUISE was a little disappointing last time out over nine furlongs and drops back to the mile, which is sure to suit the colt. He has a wide draw to negotiate, but he should be included in all bets. RUFFIN’ IT steps up from the seven furlongs of his last outing, but he was staying on well that day and should have no problem with going the extra ground here. GOMATHI is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she has only had the two runs to date and improved in that second start. She has a handy three draw and should give the males a good run for their money.

Race 7.
NAVY CROSS won his last start from gun to tape. That was over 1900M, but he jumps from pole position, which is an obvious plus and he may prove to be difficult to reel in over the closing stages. ZAMZARA is a 3yr old filly taking on some hard-knocking males, but she won her last start over this distance by 3.8L and looks the immediate danger to the top choice. EMPIRE GAMES and CITY SMART renew their rivalry today. The former finished 0.2L behind the latter in their last clash over ten furlongs, but is 2kgs better off at today’s weights, which should be enough for the tables to be turned.

Race 8.
MARAKOPA won his maiden race last time out over nine furlongs. He takes on stronger here, but he may well be up to the task on hand. LIKEABEEL won last time out over this c&d despite being friendless in the betting market. He will be hoping to complete the double today. BRANDO steps up in trip after finishing third last time out over seven furlongs. If taking to the extra distance, he should be considered. MISS PENFOLD is a 3yr old filly taking on males. Her last disappointing effort over a mile should be overlooked as she was hampered at the start and was only making progress in the latter stages of the race. On some of her prior efforts, she should be right up there is the when they hit the wire.

Race 9.
STARDOME showed marked improvement last time out over seven furlongs and if he has continued along that same path, he should be involved in the finish here. ENTERPRISE JACK has consistent formlines to his credit and stayed on well in his last outing over this distance. He is sure to put in another honest performance today. BERING SEA was making good late progress in his last run over seven furlongs and should appreciate the extra distance on offer here. Although ECKER ROAD finished fifth in his last outing over this distance, he was just 1.9L behind the victor. He should be a factor in this line-up.
