Race 4: MISS GREENLIGHT (4)
Magic Tips Best Bets
Race 4: PANZANELLA (1)
Jockey: Behr G – Trainer: Kannemeyer D
PANZANELLA showed very good improvement when finishing second in her last start over this C&D. She was slow into stride, but raced from just off the pace before getting outrun late. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Dynasty is progressive and if jumping on terms, she should go one better here.
Race 6: FOLLOW THE STAR (1)
Jockey: Winnaar M – Trainer: Kotzen G
FOLLOW THE STAR has good consistent form lines to her credit. It must be noted that Pink Tourmaline has come out and won again since. She takes a drop in class this afternoon and can notch up her fifth career victory.
Top Bet For Today
Race 7: LONG WHITE CLOUD (6)
Jockey: Fourie R – Trainer: Sands A
LONG WHITE CLOUD won a good race over this C&D, eight weeks ago. The manner in which she quickened up that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the horse that finished second has come out and won since. The daughter of Cable Bay takes a rise in class, but she looks to have ability and should be the one to beat.
Race 8: MR MASTER STARTER (1)
Jockey: De Melo K – Trainer: Kannemeyer D
MR MASTER STARTER is much better than his last start in the Grade 1 Cape Guineas. He was bumped at the start and never got into the race. His form prior to that outing was encouraging. The lightly raced son of Master Of My Fate takes a drop in class and should return to winning ways with a bit of luck in running.
Value Bet For Today
Race 5: HINCKLEY (2)
Jockey: D Dillon – Trainer: W Whitehead
HINCKLEY’S last two starts have been decent. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last outing has come out and won since. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 2000m and he can shed his maiden tag in this type of field.
