Race 2: RED GINGER(2)
Jockey: Bernard FAYD’HERBE  – Trainer: Justin SNAITH

RED GINGER was given a smart ride when she quickened well to beat LEAVES OF GRASS (2kgs better off) in a mile contest at Durbanville recently & the consistent bay filly can follow-up despite the resultant four pound penalty. She should raise her game in this higher company. The latter raced fresh on her seasonal debut that day and though she is weighted to be competitive, she clearly prefers more ground and the likely sedate gallop is a worry.

WORLD MISSION has shown ability in his short career and usually takes a tough ride. He will get just that with his top heavyweight jockey engaged today and the Kannemeyer inmate can build on his promising recent hometown debut over this distance at Durbanville. The son of Sail From Seattle adopt- ed frontrunning tactics and though he struggled around the left hand turn which he tried for the first time, he fought on gamely before going down a neck at the line. He would have come on from that experience and he has the gate speed to overcome his wide draw.

Race 5: EXTRADITE(2)

Jockey: Aldo DOMEYER- Trainer: Candice BASS-ROBINSON
EXTRADITE drops in class after some fair recent performances and the versatile daughter of Mambo In Seattle should stake a huge claim on her peak showing. She caught the eye with a strong late finish in her penultimate showing over the minimum trip.

Race 7: BRAVE MOVE(1)
Jockey: Greg CHEYNE – Trainer: Adam MARCUS
BRAVE MOVE continues to improve with each outing and the lightly raced four-year old may have just needed her comeback run on her handicap debut over a mile five weeks ago. She only got going late for 2nd behind a classy younger sort and though that earned her a two pound penalty, she will strip fitter today and has much more to offer. The daughter of Horse Chestnut may prefer racing at this venue and she is her yard’s only runner on the day.

BANSTEAD MANOR had an incredible last effort when he tried ten furlongs at Durbanville. The Kannemeyer inmate only lost four lengths at the start that day but was tailed off, possibly as much as 50 metres off the second last entrant with about four furlongs to go. However, he finished in exciting fashion in the home straight and was beaten just over four lengths at the line.
