Racing this Saturday sees an entertaining eleven race programme at Kranji Racecourse with a host of top quality racing on offer, the top bet and value bet, should be followed closely.

RACE 1 – Time: 06:00 Class 5 Handicap -1200m
Selections: 2/6/7
FROM THE NAVY was a winner in this grade late last year and has run some nice races since then, notably a nice third behind Be You three starts ago in Novice grade. FAST AND FEARLESS he is a three-time winner at Kranji, and his last win was well earned beating a handy field. Looks well placed by James Peters and can win again here. SUPER TALENT this horse ran a nice second last start in the same grade having to cover ground most of the journey. With luck, he can go one place better here.
RACE 2 – Time: 06:30 Maiden- 1100m

KING ALBERT PARK raced wide on debut but still ran on for a close-up third. Has made further headway since. Top pick in this despite the ordinary gate. KING ARTHUR first Emergency but the one with the best track record so far. Handles both turf and Polytrack. If he gets in, he will be a leading chance in this even from the wide draw. ROCKETSHIP scored an impressive barrier trial win in his second attempt, albeit in slow time. Looks ready and fit enough to make an impression on debut.
RACE 3 – Time: 07:00 Class 4 Handicap – 1100m

MAN OF MYSTERY on the quick back-up from last weekend where he ran a creditable third. Well performed in his last three starts and should be right there again. KISS YOUR SONG proven galloper over this distance. His form can be mixed at times but in this grade, he is very competitive and warrants respect. SNIP first run back this week and looks fit having a couple of trials leading into this. Hasn’t raced since January but has good form behind proven horses.
RACE 4 – Time: 07:30 Class 5 Handicap -1700m
Selections: 2/6/7
FORT MUSTANG although he is still a maiden in Singapore, he has been consistent without winning. In a strong stable who has a good record in these class events. LIM’S RHYTHM a nice win last start coming from midfield and won in good style. Can continue his winning ways here. MARCUS ANTONIUS won well in his last start to win his maiden and proved the distance was not a problem. In a leading stable and must be respected.
RACE 5 – Time: 08:00 Class 4 Handicap – 1200m
Selections: 1/9/2
BUURAQ has some very good course and distance form to his name and arrives here in good order for a new stable. A big run can be expected. STRONG N SMART finished off powerfully in a hot Novice event last time out to win for the first time. He has trialled well for a win since and can give a bold sight again with a light weight. VALOROUS runner-up to Galaxy Star last time out and if in the same vein of form, he can place again off a point higher mark.
RACE 6 – Time: 08:30 Class 5 Handicap -1000m

OUR SECRET WEAPON finally delivered when least expected. Always showed ability. No world beater but can string up a second consecutive win at this level. ARION PASSION tried to go start to finish last time but was run down in the concluding stages. May well go for the same tactics from barrier one. EXTRA WIN form prior to break was decent. Blinkers off. Not a bad mare in this company and warrants consideration first-up, especially from the handy gate.
RACE 7 – Time: 09:00 Class 5 Handicap -1000m

VOLUNTAD from the Hideyuki Takaoka yard showed good improvement last time. The 5-year-old bay gelding will strip fitter and must have a say here. ANPANMAN doesn’t win out of turn. Drops back to winning distance (won only win over 1200m but on Polytrack) and should give a better account of himself. LAI MAK MAK has been making ground at recent runs. Well-drawn. Not unlikely to see him in the box seat and one of those to pounce upon straightening. Visors replaced with blinkers. Worth a shot.
RACE 8 – Time: 09:30 Class 4 Handicap -1700m
Selections: 4/2/5
SOLO SUN a chance can be taken with this Desmond Koh-trained gelding. Now three points lower than his last win, he has the assistance of Vlad Duric once again and he could be the value play in this. SATURNO SPRING has been racing in great form and comes here on the back of a couple of nice wins. Still unexposed under these conditions and shapes like he has more to give. TANGIBLE runner-up to Saturno Spring last time out and was running onto the line. Every chance here off a point higher.
RACE 9 – Time: 10:00 Class 5 Handicap -1700m

ETWAS NEUES has been very consistent in Class 5 to date. Already a two-time winner over 1700m on the Polytrack surface in Class 5. POROSHIRI broke through for a long-awaited win last start. Can do a few things wrong in his races which has proved costly but last win was strong. RUNMINDERBINDERRUN hasn’t been beaten far out at his last few outings. Ran a nice third last start and should be competitive here.
Race 10 – Time: 10:30 Class 3 Handicap –1400m

QUARTER BACK the Savvy Command race is clearly the form race to focus on and possibly the run of the race that day was Quarter Back. Held up at about the 250m marker, he ran home strongly for second and with a clearer passage could perhaps have got a lot closer to the winner. Now on his last winning mark, he is a big runner here. SAVVY COMMAND in great form and has conditions to suit here again. Has more to do at the weights with the top selection but can once again run a big race. GOLD STAR third last time out behind Savvy Command and Quarter Back and looks another rock-solid place chance for a bang in-form stable.
Race 11 – Time: 11:00 Class 4 Handicap-1100m

TEARDROPS a filly with plenty of speed and might prove too good for a few of these as she is very unexposed. MASTER RYKER now down in grade having run some okay races in better company. This is easier and can go well with Jerlyn Seow booked. AFTERMATH now racing on the Polytrack and the booking of Vlad Duric once again is very interesting.
