RACE 1 – Time: 06:00 Class 5 Handicap -1400m

Selections: 2/7/12

BILLY ELLIOT from the Stephen Gray stable was an impressive debut winner who is definitely better than Class 5. His track work has been solid. An awkward draw might makes things less easy, but he still remains hard to beat. ZYGARDE put his best run to date when running on strongly for second behind Charming Diamond over 1200m. He will enjoy the extra 200m. DIAMOND MINE removal of blinkers seem to have paid off for the 4-year old bay gelding, who finished second to Life Is Gamble at his last start. He will be running on late.

RACE 2 – Time: 06:30 Open Maiden- 1000m

Selections: 3/2/8

WAWASAN from the Desmond Koh yard is in good from and from pole position the son of Jakkalberry looks set on shedding his maiden tag here. IMA has been beating around the bush. He just tends to lose his focus inside the last 200m. The pacifiers go back on. UNBRIDLED SWEEP surprised with an eye-catching third to Easylights on his second start and on that run, he can’t be ignored.

RACE 3 – Time: 07:00 Class 4 Handicap- 1100m

Selections: 2/6/4

SACRED GIFT from a in-form stable could take a bit of beating here. The son of Zoustar has been runner-up in his last two starts over this distance and can go one better today. COUSTEAU is the stable companion to the top selection and can go close on best form. FIRST CHOICE from the L Khoo stable has trialled well and must be respected here.

RACE 4 – Time: 07:30 Class 5 Handicap -1100m

Selections: 1/2/6

GOLDEN DASH all seem to point to a win following his two close placings. He has a nice handy draw here and he will be in the firing line. CATCH THE TIGER was disappointing when well-backed last time out. The blinkers come off and from pole position he deserves another chance. RED RIDING WOOD from the Mark Walker stable made some ground after settling at the rear on Saturday and must be included.

RACE 5 – Time: 08:00 Class 4 Handicap – 1800m

Selections: 5/2/7

STAR JACK from the Hideyuki Takaoka yard conditions suit him well here and a big run is expected from the son of Jungle Pocket. SHEPHERD’S HYMN a good winner last time out and Vlad Duric stays on board here. LUCK OF MASTER a good tempo can see a strong finish from this fellow and he must be respected here.

RACE 6 – Time: 08:30 Class 5 Handicap -1600m

Selections: 1/4/2

CIRCUIT STAR drops in class. He was just edged out by the smart Tiger Roar four runs back. Ignore his last run when he was trapped wide. He merits respect here. HIGH LIMIT honest in this class. The trip suits him. Drawn awkwardly, but he can also come from off the pace. Expect to see him in the mix. BOY NEXT DOOR stayed on well despite racing wide last time out. Been almost two years since his last win. He seems to be coming back to form and must have an each way claim here.

RACE 7 – Time: 09:00 Class 4 Handicap -1200m

Selections: 7/1/8

WHAT YOU LIKE from the Mark Walker yard continues in great form and although this is tougher, he can go close again. The top weight HEADHUNTER showed good improvement last time when finishing second over this distance. He will strip fitter today. EXDREAM disqualified from third last time out (rider weighed in 600g light). The son of Dream Ahead is from a powerful stable and will be super fit.

RACE 8 – Time: 09:30 Class 2 Handicap -1100m

Selections: 2/1/6

SACRED REBEL in what is an interesting race, this Mark Walker-trained runner can win this on his best form. SKYWALK a smart horse on his day and tries the headgear this time around and must be respected here. WEBSTER from the D.Meagher yard ran a nice race last time out and looks to be peaking at the right time. The 7-year old bay gelding must have a say here.

RACE 9 – Time: 10:00 Class 5 Handicap -1100m

Selections: 7/12/11

NEW GARDEN handles the polytrack better. He doesn’t win out of turn, but he can come out on top in this average lot. UNCLE LUCKY from the J.Ong yard showed good improvement last time. The 8-year old bay gelding is still racing with zest and this is a winnable race for him. HOST THE NATION at 11, he still has a bit of ticker left in the engine. He was fast-finishing for fourth on least preferred turf surface. He reverts to the polytrack and must be respected here.

Race 10 – Time: 10:30 Class 4 Handicap –1100m

Selections: 6/2/11

ROMANTIC made strong bid last time out but just failed to catch Entertainer, who gives him four kilos this time. He can turn the tables here. ENTERAINER faultless record on 1100m (three wins from as many starts) He will take some catching when he bowls along in front. Barrier 1 will make his job even easier. LATENT POWER found Class 4 a different proposition, but has been trialling like he’s back on the warpath of late, no weight on his back here.

Race 11 – Time: 11:00 Class 3 Handicap-1400m

Selections: 3/1/4

HEARTENING FLYER has bumped into a couple better on recent starts but he is a talented horse and we can see the best of him now going forward. MAGIC WAND ultra-consistent type who always gives his best and can do so again.  SUN POWER thought to be a Singapore Derby horse going forward and has some nice Australian form to his name.

Race 12 – Time: 11:30 Class 4 Handicap-1200m

Selections: 10/7/1

STENMARK good run in a nice Novice last time out and has always shown enough in limited runs on the island. THE EXECUTIONER from the J.Lim yard had an eye-catching last run over this distance and should be right there. LEGEND OF THE SUN impressive winner last time over this distance and can still be competitive here.
