RACE 1 – Time: 06:30 Class 5 Handicap -1700m

ETWAS NEUES from the Hideyuki Takaoka stable was hard ridden last time out but just plodded on for third. The son of Strong Return is drawn in pole position and he should be able to use his speed to race handier. ENDLESS seems to be racing with a new zest of life after the removal of blinkers. He looks well in on weights and should be right there. SUN CONQUEROR every chance last start but found one better in Lion Spirit inside the concluding stages. He can turn the tables with a two-kilo pull, but the downside is the wide draw.
RACE 2 – Time: 07:00 Maiden- 1200m

REIGNITE chased a smart stablemate last time out and with champion jockey Vlad Duric booked, he can go one place better here. PRODIGAL won his ORT trial in good time and style under today’s rider and could prove the number one from the Michael Clements yard. LIM’S DREAMWALKER he always been there or thereabouts when competing. A return to this course and distance is a plus and he has trialled very well also.
RACE 3 – Time: 07:30 Class 4 Handicap- 1200m

TRIPLE BOWL can surprise in this moderate lot. He ran second to Kharisma three runs back. His last two runs on grass have been ordinary but he can bounce back on Polytrack. KING ZOUSTAR lost no marks when rising in grade last time out and from barrier one, expect him to be in the firing line. HYDE PARK more effective when he goes to the front. He may have to be used up from wide draw but Wong Chin Chuen has good hands. He’s a serious contender if he gets a soft run.
RACE 4 – Time: 08:00 Open Maiden -1200m

STARHARMONY real impact three-year-old gelding from the leading yard. He shaped well in his trial when runner-up to Prodigal and he is a half-brother to the smart Group 3 placed Mosshiki. HOLY ELEANOR ex-Archie Watson-trained mare who placed four times in the UK. She has trialled well since arriving here and this looks like a nice starting point. NINESIXTHREETHREE, a half-brother to four winners including the VRC St Leger winner Authoritarian. Both trials have been good and he should go well on debut.
RACE 5 – Time: 08:30 Class 5 Handicap – 1200m

MAXIMILIAN from the Mark Walker yard is in good form and can go very close here for champion jockey Vlad Duric. SUN ELIZABETH won her last start well over this distance. The 7-year old bay mare finds another weaker Class 5 here. ATLANTEAN from the Alvin Tan stable has a good record in this grade and this looks winnable for the son of Dick Turpin.
RACE 6 – Time: 09:00 Class 4 Handicap -1600m

SATURNO SPRING knocking on the door. He showed improvement on the turf and is now reverting to the Polytrack. Argentinian-breds generally handle all-weather. He’s drawn in pole position and should go close here. CHAMPAGNE FINALE was outrun late by Leatherhead last time out. The 5-year old bay gelding will be hard to get past if he gets his own way in front. GOLD KINGDOM Class 4 has been more challenging since his easy win in a Class 5 company. This looks slightly easier.
RACE 7 – Time: 09:30 Class 5 Handicap -1700m

MARCUS ANTONIUS from the Mark Walker stable is often thereabouts. The son of Sepoy will strip fitter today and must be respected here. LIM’S RHYTHM has plenty of form and this race suits him well. The booking of Danny Beasley is another plus. ANGEL HALO from the Hideyuki Takaoka yard is seldom far off. The 7-year old bay gelding should strip fitter today and can run into the money.
RACE 8 – Time: 10:00 Class 4 Handicap -1200m

JACKSA needed his last start. He will strip fitter today. He won his barrier trial on April 22. Blinkers on and he should be right there. UNCONQUERED was running on late last time out. He hasn’t won for 17 months, but won’t be surprised if he wins here today. STRONG N BEST won two runs back over same course and distance, but in Class 5. He’s in with a chance if things go his way.
RACE 9 – Time: 10:30 Class 5 Handicap -1200m

MOWGLI caught the eye last time when running on late for third over 1000m. He’s back over 1200m and has big claims here. ADMIRAL WINSTON has the talent on his day and shaped well last time out when third. Vlad Duric is booked and he and Mark Walker are in good form. SESON from the Steven Burridge yard has run some nice races of late without winning. He should be right there again.
Race 10 – Time: 11:00 Class 3 Handicap –1100m

SUN OPS speedster who has won two from two in impressive style. He’s drawn awkwardly but he has enough gate speed to roll forward. He looks hard to beat here. SIAM WARRIOR led in his last start and looked to have pinched the race halfway up the straight. He fought on bravely but was swamped late.Vlad Duric gets on this time and he should be right there. SONGGONG HERA progressive sort who is going up in class, interesting to see how he measures up here.
Race 11 – Time: 11:30 Class 4 Handicap-1400m

MYSTERY POWER was an impressive debut winner who looks too good for a Class 4. He still has plenty of scope here. DAY APPROACH was too good last time out over 1200m. He’s working well back home and should be right there. GODFATHERS won well last time out even if he didn’t beat much. Tougher task today but can still measure up.
