LUDLOW

Race 3 No5 OUTONPATROL
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Alexander Thorne

Since winning at this track in May, OUTONPATROL has maintained a good standard of form by troubling the judge in his three other starts over fences. He seems to have benefitted from a wind operation and is in good form for this clash with last year’s winner Shoal Bay.

Race 5 No2 TORN AND FRAYED (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston- Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

TORN AND FRAYED has jumped well at home ahead of this debut over fences. Having proved a good money-spinner for his connections with two hurdle wins last season, he can now make his mark at a new discipline. He has the size and scope to do well as a chaser.

NOTTINGHAM

Race 5 No6 TYPEWRITER (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: David Egan

TYPEWRITER can shine as the only filly against colts in this interesting nursery. The daughter of Gleneagles carries an experience edge into the contest after landing some good bets on her third outing at this track, and will be suited by the step up to an extended mile and a quarter.

Race 6 No9 KALEIDOSCOPIC (Each Way)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa

After getting shuffled back, KALEIDOSCOPIC got going too late at Chester and is of interest as she seeks an overdue first win of the season. The daughter of Le Havre would be very interesting if able to repeat her early season form when beaten by subsequent Group winner Waldkonig in a Class2 at Pontefract, but her campaign has been marred by ongoing bouts of coming into season.

SEDGEFIELD

Race 4 No7 SHEILA NASH
Trainer: Harry Whittington – Jockey: Daryl Jacob

SHEILA NASH returns over a longer trip on this jumps debut and the Kempton bumper scorer is ready for the challenge after undergoing wind surgery in the close season.

Race 7 No4 RAFFLES GITANE (Nap)
Trainer: Harry Whittington – Jockey: Daryl Jacob

RAFFLES GITANE makes her debut over fences with the benefit of a four-year-old allowance. She scored over hurdles at Hereford and gained black type at Cheltenham, while she has jumped proficiently in her schooling at home.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 4 No5 THALER
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Ryan Moore

Dubawi colt THALER moves into the handicap arena after skating up on his return from a three and a half month break here last month. That should have given him a big confidence boost, while he’s bread to appreciate the move up to seven furlongs.

Race 5 No5 TABDEED (Nap)
Trainer: Owen Burrows – Jockey: Jim Crowley

TABDEED can deservedly take out this featured sprint on the back of several solid efforts at a higher level. He’s been placed in a couple of Group 3s and latterly run well in Listed company at Newmarket and York. He sets a high bar for his rivals to aim at.
