SANDOWN PARK

Race 1 No1 BEAUPORT (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Jordan Nailor

BEAUPORT looked a smart prospect when taking out the ultra-competitive EBF Final here in April, his final of five outings in his first season. The Califet gelding has to concede weight all around, but is ready for this return to the track.

Race 5 No2 ON TO VICTORY
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Tom Cannon

Dual-purpose horse ON TO VICTORY is a horse to have on your side this season, having performed well in a valuable novices’ handicap hurdle at this course and then run well in staying races on the Flat. He faces stern competition from Hudson De Grugy, but with underfoot conditions in his favour could have a fitness edge on that foe.

Race 6 No2 SINGLEFARMPAYMENT
Trainer: Henry Oliver – Jockey: Paddy Brennan

SINGLEFARMPAYMENT needs plenty of cajoling to put his head in front, but Brennan is riding at the peak of his powers and will sit and wait as long as it takes before asking his mount to go and assert. Hat-trick seeker Mr Mafia will make a bold bid to complete a hat-trick, but I fancy Singlefarmpayment to grab him on the run-in.

FFOS LAS

Race 2 No3 SHAKEM UP’ARRY (Nap)
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Kielan Woods

SHAKEM UP’ARRY won on last season’s return to the track as a hurdler and now gets to do what has always been his destiny. A strong galloper who races with his head bowed low to the ground, he is an exciting addition to the novice ranks over fences. He can take the spoils on the way to much better things.

Race 4 No2 LE TUER
Trainer: Peter Bowen – Jockey: Robbie Dunne

LE TUER performed consistently well when switched to handicap hurdles last season, including taking out a long-distance contest here in January. His shrewd handler has elected to run him straight in a handicap now switched to fences, for which he has trained with eclat.

Race 5 No3 APACHE CREEK
Trainer: Jonjo O’Neill – Jockey: Richie McLernon

APACHE CREEK enjoyed a bountiful campaign with a fine hat-trick amongst just four outings before narrowly failing to extend that sequence here in May. The six-year-old has scope for further progression, and will not lack for fitness on this first outing in five months.
