Race 1 No9 AWEEMAWEH
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: George Bass
A very good work horse who can cut the mustard at this level, AWEEMAWEH disappointed at Brighton but has the confidence to bounce back after winning his gallop on Friday.
Race 7 No2 SEAGULLS NEST (Nap)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: George Bass
A staying filly who doesn’t do anything in a hurry, SEAGULLS NEST should enjoy the drying conditions and gain an overdue first career success. She’s left the cash behind on one occasion this season, but can show that the losses were merely lent.
SALISBURY
Race 1 No3 MOUNTAIN ASH (Nap)
Trainer: Rod Millman – Jockey: Oisin McSweeney
MOUNTAIN ASH remains unexposed after his clear cut triumph over this distance at Lingfield. The grey is one of the few in-form contenders for this apprentices’ race and if turning out in similar form should follow-up.
Race 4 No4 CAIRN GORM
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Oisin Murphy
Deauville Group 3 winner CAIRN GORM struggled in his final three starts of 2020 and had his 2021 return delayed by a training issue. However, he’s developed both mentally and physically into a fine specimen and is working with all the sparkle shown in his early two-year-old career. He faces stern competition from Khaadem but might be sufficiently forward to deliver in this Listed race.
Race 6 No1 DEEP SNOW
Trainer: Saeed Bin Suroor – Jockey: Oisin Murphy
DEEP SNOW gets a first time tongue tie for her return to the fray and will outclass her foes if near the level she showed when last seen scoring at Ripon last July. She’s not been straightforward but is hard to oppose on this first outing in eleven months.
