GOODWOOD

Race 3 No5 FIRTH OF CLYDE
Trainer: Paul Cole – Jockey: William Buick

FIRTH OF CLYDE holds the cards in this after a narrow defeat in a warm looking Newmarket novice last time. The Gleneagles colt has run into smart performers like Reach For The Moon in previous starts and is head and shoulders in front of those that have previous experience.

Race 5 Weatherbys Hamilton Supreme Stakes (Group 3)
No5 RHOSCOLYN
Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: Danny Tudhope

Unlucky not to catch Maydanny in the Golden Mile here last month, RHOSCOLYN figures to prove hard to beat in this first run in a Group race. He’s done nothing but improve since notching a fine hair-trick in the spring and early summer, also finishing second in Listed company at Pontefract. His trainer excels with this sort of individual.

Race 6 No1 JUST FINE (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Ryan Moore

Lightly raced this year and with plenty of room for progression, JUST FINE can handle a step up the class ladder to take out this three-year-old only handicap under top weight. The Sea The Stars gelding was handed a 9lb rise in the weights after trouncing his foes at Sandown but looked good value for his triumph, with the prospect of more to come.

BEVERLEY

Race 1 No3 BELTANE (Nap)
Trainer: Keith Dalgleish – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

BELTANE sets a good standard for the others to aim at after his earning run at Catterick. As that came after a more than two months break there should be more under the bonnet of this Fast Company colt, who is the one to beat.

Race 2 No3 BOND POWER
Trainer: Bryan Smart – Jockey: Graham Lee

Handicapping should bring about improvement from BOND POWER after his efforts to trouble the judge on back-to-back visits to York. He’s enjoyed a freshening break since the last of those in early July and can give short shrift to a field of mainly more exposed rivals.

YARMOUTH

Race 6 No4 SPANISH MANE (Nap)
Trainer: Julia Feilden – Jockey: Saffie Osborne

Dual course and distance winner SPANISH MANE jumps off the page after getting better with each run in just three starts this season. The mare is back on the same mark as when last successful, and having raised her game in first time cheek pieces on latest start, can go further forward in that headgear and deliver.

Race 7 No4 MEDIA GUEST
Trainer: George Margarson – Jockey: Tom Queally

If able to recapture his early career promise, MEDIA GUEST can play a big part in the outcome of this sprint handicap. He was easy to back on a first outing after wind surgery at Windsor yet stayed on in eye taking fashion at the business end. Two weeks on from that he should be ready to put his best foot forward.
