SEDGEFIELD

Race 1 No1 GEROMINO (Nap)

Trainer: Donald McCain Jr – Jockey: Brian Hughes

Since undergoing wind surgery GEROMINO has done nothing wrong, with a win and two seconds in as many starts switched to jumps. He has few miles on the clock, making his inclusion in his trainer’s summer jumping team no surprise.

Race 5 No6 MING DYNASTY (Each Way)

Trainer: Brian Ellison – Jockey: Tom Scudamore

Former Listed and Group 2 winner MING DYNASTY has been around the block a few times since those heady days and was beaten a long way on debut for his current handler. However, he could improve for a winter break in which Ellison has had time to get to know him, and get into the shake-up at a de ent price.

WETHERBY

Race 5 No12 TROMSO (Nap)

Trainer: Kevin Ryan – Jockey: Andrea Atzeni

Several in this novice have shown ability but the one that could take a big step forward is TROMSO. He left his debut run a long way behind when taking home a cheque on reappearance at Leicester and will be all the better for it, while bred to handle the likely testing conditions.

Race 7 No9 AVA GO JOE

Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Duran Fentiman

Sit Titus sets the standard for the others to aim at. He landed some good bets when reappearing at Newcastle but could find AVA GO JOE causing him problems. In a compressed handicap the selection only receives 7lb from his rival, but he shaped well when narrowly beaten in a Musselburgh maiden and can improve for this switch to handicaps.

AYR

Race 3 No1 ZORAVAN

Trainer: Keith Dalgleish – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

ZORAVAN was not in any way knocked about when troubling the judge on return from a 17-month lay off at this course last month. He’d proved hard to win with during the 2019 campaign but if putting his best foot forward here could easily be good enough, despite top weight.

Race 5 No5 HONG KONG HARRY (Nap)

Trainer: Richard Fahey – Jockey: Paul Hanagan

As the least experienced in the field, course and distance scorer HONG KONG HARRY will probably have a fair bit more to offer. He’s looking for a fourth success on only a fifth career start, and probably has a lot more to offer.
