AYR

Race 1 No3 MONSIEUR JUMBO (Nap)
Trainer: Kevin Ryan – Jockey: Kevin Stott

Caravaggio has made great strides with his first crop and MONSIEUR JUMBO can give that stallion another boost by taking out the opener on debut. The grey is out of a mare by Le Havre and after showing abundant promise at home could be too smart for paper favourite Red Power.

CARTMEL

Race 3 No5 ROOSTER COGBURN (Nap)
Trainer: Peter Bowen – Jockey: James Bowen

Bowen does well with his handicap chasers here which gives credence to ROOSTER COGBURN putting in a forward run. He’s not been the easiest to keep sound but a recent placed effort at Huntingdon shows the ability remains. Furthermore, he has few miles on the clock and could still have improvement in him.

Race 7 No7 CALLIOPE
Trainer: Dianne Sayer – Jockey: C Todd

At the end of play at this charming track, CALLIOPE is the way to go. The mare has placed in all but one of seven starts since her latest victory at Kelso and after finishing second over course and distance on Saturday looks sure to be involved.

NOTTINGHAM

Race 1 No10 SHAKENOTSTIRRED (Nap)
Trainer: Sean Woods – Jockey: Jamie Spencer

Woods has done well with his juvenile runners since renewing his licence after a lengthy spell in Hong Kong. SHAKENOTSTIRRED almost added to his laurels a debut at Sandown but couldn’t cope with the smart Beautiful Sunsine. That has done her the power of good, and she’s strongly fancied to go one better.

Race 4 No4 PORNSTAR MARTINI
Trainer: Henry Candy – Jockey: Josephine Gordon

PORNSTAR MARTINI trumped her shorter-priced stablemate Colombe on debut at Chepstow last summer, only to find a step into Pattern company all too much on her only other outing. She’s been given plenty of time to develop both mentally and physically and makes plenty of appeal on this handicap debut.

Race 6 No2 SEVENAL
Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: Frankie Dettori

Dettori’s presence is a crowd puller for the track and the Italian should show how it’s done by taking this out on SEVENAL. The Sea The Stars colt breezed home at Windsor and will be even sharper now that Gosden fits him with a pair of cheekpieces.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 1 No6 MANOBO
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick

Godolphin can dominate the early part of this card, starting with MANOBO in the opener. The selection overcame greenness to score on debut at Newbury and should enjoy the Polytrack just as much as he does turf.

Race 2 No3 BEFORE DAWN
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick

BEFORE DAWN also showed signs of inexperience when second on her Newmarket debut. The grey will be more streetwise and from a perfect inside draw is the one to beat.

Race 4 No8 SOVEREIGN SLIPPER (Each Way)
Trainer: Henry Candy – Jockey: David Probert

Greenness has hampered SOVEREIGN SLIPPER on both career starts to date, especially on his debut here back in March. He possibly ran better than his eventual placing indicates at Newmarket last time, and could get into the money at a working man’s price.

Race 5 No8 THALER (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Ryan Moore

From a good draw, it has to be THALER in this second leg of the novice stakes, run around a right-handed bend. He almost overcame a poor draw at Leicester but after a short set-to with Bashosh was left standing by that talented rival. It has to be doubtful there’s anything of the same calibre against him tonight.

RIPON

Race 1 No7 ATOMIC LADY (Nap)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

ATOMIC LADY gained valuable experience on this undulating course when chasing home Jersey Rose six days ago. She makes a swift reappearance and can quickly set her seal on the contest to open her account.

Race 3 No3 GENERAL SAGO
Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: Tom Marquand

Handicap debutant GENERAL SAGO has run into smart horses like Spycatcher and Twilight Calls, whilst coming within just half a length of repelling Abu Malek in a warm novice at Doncaster last time. The front runner could prove hard to peg back now switching code, and looks certain to figure.
