NEWMARKET

Race 3 No11 NOBLE ORDER
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick

This late season fixture restricted to late developing two-year-olds could turn into a field day for Godolphin. Sheikh Mohammed’s operation has a clutch of fancied contenders, starting with NOBLE ORDER, who is a colt by Dubawi out of a Dansili mare. The seven furlongs is a good starting distance, while any cut in the ground should not be an issue.

Race 4 No1 AL NAFIR (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick

Racing over a mile and a quarter should be the perfect cup of tea for AL NAFIR, who ran into one when heavily backed on debut over a mile here at the start of the month. Another son of Dubawi, he looks to have learned plenty from that initial foray onto the race track, and although facing some promising types that also have previous form, he should be good enough.

Race 6 No6 RANDOM HARVEST
Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: William Buick

War Front filly RANDOM HARVEST didn’t return to action until the end of September, when she put in a pleasing run to place behind Barshaa. That form was boosted when the winner followed-up earlier in the week. Furthermore, the selection looked as if the race would do her the power of good, suggesting she will be ready now.

Race 7 No1 PERSEUS WAY
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick

The penalised Leicester scorer PERSEUS WAY can prove the pick of a Godolphin trio in this novice stakes over a mile. A son of Sea The Stars, he had to buckle down to resist Valsad but coped extremely well with the heavy ground. This strongly made individual can follow-up at the main expense of King Of Ice.

FONTWELL PARK

Race 3 No1 SEDDON
Trainer: Harry Whittington – Jockey: Adrian Heskin

This stable has yet to get into gear, but SEDDON could change its luck on this return from the injury list. A former top flight bumper horse, he failed to menace on his only previous outing from Hill Barn, but brings an element of class to the table on this return to hurdles.

Race 5 No7 SIXTIES SECRET (Each Way)
Trainer: Sheena West – Jockey: Marc Goldstein

Having earned on both starts this season, SIXTIES SECRET just needs to find a bit more to open her account. The Sixties Icon mare has improved based on her Plumpton and Huntingdon places, and although yet to win at this figures for-eight course has run well here in the past.

Race 6 No7 GERBOISE BORGET (Nap)
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Brendan Powell

This second leg of the handicap hurdle can fall to the unexposed GERBOISE BORGET who can made up for an uncharacteristic fall in a similar contest at Worcester last month, and who doesn’t have many miles on his racing clock.

WORCESTER

Race 7 No7 MALAITA (Nap)
Trainer: Melanie Rowley – Jockey: Alex Edwards

MALAITA could emerge as the best bet on a very tricky jumps fixture. She bossed a bumper at Ludlow when last seen in the spring, and has schooled and worked well ahead of this return to the racecourse.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 1 No2 BASHFUL
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

BASHFUL will never get a better opportunity to open his account. After a string of near-misses he managed to miss out completely last time, but this evening’s race sees him in much calmer waters, and if he loses it will almost certainly be because he’s beaten himself.

Race 2 No1 BLUEBELL WAY (Nap)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: George Bass

BLUEBELL WAY stylishly opened her account when landing a similar race at Bath last week. Waited with, she picked up to readily pull clear of her rivals at the finish. A 6lb penalty is largely wiped out by the claim of her very competent rider, and with a cracking draw on the rail she can assume a stalking position, leaving her closer to the pace than last time.
