Neil Morrice: International Racing - Sunday 5 July

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips from Sunday’s racing coming your way from Bangor-on-dee, Hamilton Park, and Lingfield.

Two women looking excitedly at cellphone

BANGOR-ON-DEE
Race
1 No4 HICONIC (Nap)
Trainer:
Alex Hales – Jockey: Kieran Woods
HICONIC
has a blend of speed and stamina in her pedigree but got every yard of the two
miles when making a winning debut over hurdles at Newton Abbot. She attracted
good support before her wide margin triumph and a similar display should see
her follow up.
Race
5 No3 GALILEO SILVER
Trainer:
Sam Thomas – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies
The unexposed
grey GALILEO SILVER can take out this novice hurdle on debut for Sam Thomas.
The gelding showed promise in both starts over timber at Ascot and Wincanton
and gets first time cheek pieces in what looks a weakly contested race.
Race
6 No8 NEVERBEEN TO PARIS
Trainer:
Harry Whittington – Jockey: Daryl Jacob

NEVERBEEN
TO PARIS
showed good form in similar races last autumn and has looked ready for
this return to the track. He will improve for the race, but is nicely weighted
amongst several rivals that are also returning from a break.

HAMILTON
PARK
Race
1 No7 SOURCE OF WEALTH
Trainer:
David O’Meara – Jockey: Danny Tudhope
SOURCE
OF WEALTH
is one of two fillies taking on colts but with two earning runs under
her belt looks to hold the whip hand. She went down by a short head to First
Greyed over track and trip last time and can go one better.
Race
2 No8 BURTONWOOD
Trainer:
Julie Camacho – Jockey: Faye McManoman
BURTONWOOD
started the season as a well treated sprinter and duly delivered on comeback at
Beverley. He made a good fist of trying to follow up at Leicester and is in the
mood to get back to winning ways.
Race
3 No7 TWILIGHT PRINCE (Nap)
Trainer:
Richard Fahey – Jockey: Tony Hamilton

The
progeny of rookie sire Twilight Son are starting to find their feet and
TWILIGHT PRINCE has a good opportunity to take out this maiden. He finished
very strongly when failing by inches to get up at Redcar last time, and is
unlikely to show greenness with that run under his belt.

LINGFIELD
Race
3 No5 VAMOOS (Nap)
Trainer:
Mick Channon – Jockey: Tom Marquand
VAMOOS
wasn’t able to back up his promising debut run at Wolverhampton when only fourth
of five at Chelmsford but he’s shown no ill effects in his work, and can
surprise hot favourite Army Of India.
