Race 2 No5 NOBLE CRUSADE (Nap)

NOBLE CRUSADE hasn’t put a foot wrong in his three outings so far, breaking his maiden at Carlisle and finishing third when reappearing under a penalty at Redcar. He might have been let into this off a lenient mark for his first run in a handicap.
Race 7 No4 ALSVINDER
Trainer: Phil Kirby – Jockey: Nick Barratt-Atkin
Although yet to win for his trainer with whom he’s been for the last two years-plus, ALSVINDER can end the drought with the assistance of an inexperienced apprentice who may be able to cajole him to victory. He’s knocked on the door several times and just needs things to fall right.
CHELMSFORD CITY
Race 2 No3 AROUSING (Nap)
Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Tom Marquand
The Haggas stable looks worth following at this fixture and its first strike can arrive via AROUSING in this fillies’ handicap. A dual scorer in novice company at Yarmouth and Lingfield, she now switched to handicaps off what looks a workable mark.
Race 4 No8 WITH THANKS

The featured Listed race for distaffers can go to WITH THANKS, who is surely better than her underwhelming comeback run at Haydock indicates. The daughter of Camacho enjoyed a bountiful juvenile season, topping off a batch of three successes by taking out a Group 3 at Naas. The other thing she has to prove is her liking for Polytrack, though she’s trained well on that surface in Newmarket.

Race 3 No4 SHADY OAKS
Trainer: Charles Pogson – Jockey: Adam Wedge
Only 1lb higher than for a good effort in defeat over a slightly longer trip here, SHADY OAKS looks booked for another earning run in a race where most of his rivals are out of form. He can advertise his liking for this course by outpointing Go On Brycey Lad.
Race 5 No2 SOLAR IMPULSE (Nap)
Trainer: Ian Williams – Jockey: Tom Buckley
SOLAR IMPULSE has responded positively to the addition of a visor, scoring in great style at Aintree and Cartmel. A 7lb penalty for his latest success is unlikely to prevent him completing a fine hat-trick.
Race 7 No8 LADY BABS
Trainer: Andy Crook – Jockey: Miss Gina Andrews
With a couple of recent course and distance success on her CV, LADY BABS is very much the one to beat in the nightcap. She has her tail up and will receive good assistance from the saddle in a race for female amateur jockeys.
