CHELTENHAM
Race 2 No3 THE BIG BITE (Nap)
Trainer: Tom George – Jockey: Jonathan Burke
THE BIG BITE goes into some books as being a winner without a penalty after his dramatic veer left at the end of a valuable handicap chase at Newbury last month. Beaten only two and a quarter lengths by Umbrigado, the selection has very strong form to bring to the table, while still looking to be improving.
Race 6 No7 SINGLEFARMPAYMENT
Trainer: Henry Oliver – Jockey: Adrian Heskin
SINGLEFARMPAYMENT acid much to shed his ‘rogue’ badge when scoring at Ascot. The strong traveller and sound jumper wasn’t afforded the opportunity to have time to down tools, and now has a ring of confidence to bring to the table. If waited with and delivered at the last he might put another one on the board.
Race 7 No6 HOOPER
Trainer: Nicky Henderson – Jockey: Mr Ben French Davis
Hooper’s neck defeat at the hooves of Copperless last autumn looks pretty solid in view of that rival’s unlucky defeat at Aintree. The selection has won his last two, making him a solid entity with stablemate French Crusader a horse to also include in exotics.
KEMPTON PARK
Race 1 No11 ADACE
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: David Probert
ADACE didn’t enjoy the rub of the green on her Chelmsford reappearance but has come on for that outing. She has a good draw, and if obtaining a handy sit just behind the leaders can put this to bed at the business end.
Race 4 No1 RANSOM (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Mark Crehan
I hope RANSOM, who returns from an enforced absence, is a horse worth waiting for. He looked classy when delivering on career debut at Lingfield, and having subsequently been gelded is showing real promise at home. He possesses a very striking turn of foot, which can prove a telling weapon against Torrkee and Ibiza Rocks.
