CARTMEL

Race 6 No1 SEA PRINCE
Trainer: Alex Hales – Jockey: Kielan Woods

The best betting opportunities happen at the end of the card, starting with SEA PRINCE who is a value alternative to Bright Eyed Eagle. The top weight scored on debut over jumps at Hexham last autumn and failed to complete when switched to handicapping at Southwell. He, therefore, remains an unexposed entity.

Race 7 No3 THE BLAME GAME (Nap)
Trainer: James Ewart – Jockey: Brian Hughes

THE BLAME GAME looked like a horse getting ready to win when third in first-time blinkers at this course earlier in the month. He should now be cherry ripe to deliver, with expert handling from the top rider in the North.

DONCASTER

Race 4 No5 ARIEL
Trainer: Charles Hills – Jockey: Jamie Spencer

Multiple scorer ARIEL can extend his impressive winning sequence to four. The gelded son of Exceed And Excel was well backed in defying a penalty at Yarmouth and can win again with Spencer on board for the first time.

Race 5 No2 FREE WIND (Nap)
Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: Rab Havlin

In the George Strawbridge colours, FREE WIND will be hard to beat for top connections. The daughter of Galileo trotted up in Goodwood maiden in the manner of one to follow, while the form received a healthy boost when the runner-up went one better on her next outing.

YARMOUTH

Race 3 No5 SAULIRE STAR (Nap)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Edward Greatrex

SAULIRE STAR is a name to conjure with in this stayers’ handicap after her best run so far when second at Wolverhampton at the end of April. She appears to have come to herself and is one to take seriously as the best bet on this card.

Race 8 No7 TIE A YELLOWRIBBON
Trainer: Terry Kent – Jockey: Oliver Stammers

TIE A YELLOWRIBBON signalled she’s getting closer to the winner’s circle on the Lingfield Poly last time. There was market support for the grey which can be recouped on her return to turf.

CHESTER

Race 4 No7 ABBIE POWER (Nap)
Trainer: Iain Jardine – Jockey: Andrew Mullen

Bungle Inthejungle filly ABBIE POWER went off an unconsidered 25-1 but belied those odds when second on debut at Hamilton. Granted normal improvement, she will be hard to beat and can open her account at the main expense of Bellport.

Race 5 No13 CUBAN DANCER
Trainer: Mark Johnston – Jockey: Franny Norton

From an advantageous draw which is so important here, CUBAN DANCER could be the way to go in this handicap. The Toronado gelding has earned in all three of his 2021 starts and remains unexposed on what is only his seventh career start.

NEWMARKET

Race 4 No6 AMY BEACH (Nap)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: David Probert

The lop-eared AMY BEACH might have had an off day on handicap debut at Salisbury. Before that defeat, she gamely opened her account at the same track. She looked good in her winding up gallop for this, and is worth another chance.

Race 5 No6 LOVELY BREEZE
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: James Doyle

When beaten into second at Chelmsford LOVELY BREEZE and winner Royal Dynasty pulled well clear of the field. She appeared to do nothing wrong and has a good chance to resume winning ways getting weight from each of her five opponents.

Race 7 No3 CELTIC ART
Trainer: Paul Cole – Jockey: Davie Probert

The addition of blinkers could work the oracle with CELTIC ART, who promised much in his early career but has gone off the radar. He’s enjoyed a freshening break since an underwhelming comeback run at Epsom and will start at a big double-figure price.

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 1-7)

4, 1, 7 x 6, 8 x 5 x 6, 1 x 6, 3 x 4, 2 x 3, 2
