BRIGHTON

Race 4 No3 HURTLE
Trainer: Paul Cole – Jockey: Mohammed Tabti

Easily the most experienced horse in the field, HURTLE has run his best races here and at Epsom. His liking for a switchback course can again manifest itself as he moves up the distance ladder to a mile.

Race 2 No4 BEAULD AS BRASS (Nap)
Trainer: George Baker – Jockey: Trevor Whelan

Granted the progression shown by BEAULD AS BRASS when he finished second over six furlongs here last month, the gelding needs plenty of respect racing on the same terrain over an extra furlong that should play to his strengths. Off just 1lb higher he is the one to beat.

HUNTINGDON

Race 6 No7 SPARKLING DAWN
Trainer: Laura Morgan – Jockey: Adam Wedge

Sulamani mare SPARKLING DAWN opened her account in a bumper here back in 2018 and after two changes of stables went close on her debut for Morgan when beaten threequarters of a length at Southwell. She returns from a freshening break as the one to beat in this first division of the handicap hurdle.

Race 7 No6 BELLS OF STAMFORD
Trainer: Tim Vaughan – Jockey: Alan Johns

BELLS OF STAMFORD opened his account over jumps at Ayr in May and returns after a four month break for a trainer with a good record with this type of lightly-raced individual. By Presenting, his claims will increase if the going remains good.

Race 8 No6 POLEMON (Nap)
Trainer: Archie Watson – Jockey: Brodie Hampson

Frankel gelding Polemon has shown promise in his work ahead of this debut under Rules for a trainer with a good strike-rate in bumpers. The market should provide the best guide to his chance, though my vibes for his from Lambourn are positive enough.

LEICESTER

Race 1 No11 PHOENIX GLOW (Each Way)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Tom Marquand

PHOENIX GLOW has shown ability on each of her last two outings and especially when just out of the money at Chelmsford last time, an effort that earned her a mark. If a high drawn is the best place to be she has a fine earning chance as she delighted in her final breeze for this on Monday.

Race 3 No7 POWER OF GOLD (Nap)
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Tom Marquand

POWER OF GOLD can make his experience count by toppling the much vaunted Godolphin newcomer Cannon Rock. The selection attracted plenty of support ahead of his debut at Ayr, where he found only Hi Royal too strong. Well regarded by his trainer, he is strongly fancied to go one better.

Race 4 No3 JUST FINE
Trainer: Sir a Michael Stoute – Jockey: Ryan Moore

Though he’s squandered a few chances, JUST FINE is given a final chance to deliver in this class drop. He’s not been disgraced in several big handicaps at the top rung of the ladder, but after flattering to deceive needs to show he’s got what it takes to put his head in front.

SOUTHWELL

Race 4 No11 DOUBLE MARCH (Nap)
Trainer: Sean Woods – Jockey: Cieren Fallon

With strong form to bring to the table from both starts, including a narrow defeat over the course and distance, DOUBLE MARCH is the best bet on a largely tricky card. The Kodiac filly hails from a stable that is doing well with its juveniles, and looks to have most of the bases covered.

Race 5 No7 MISS GALLAGHER (Each Way)
Trainer: William Jarvis – Jockey: Connor Planas

MISS GALLAGHER looks sure to benefit from a longer trip after chasing home a good yardstick over six furlongs here last month. The daughter of Dark Angel carries the colours of Group 1 winner Lady Bowthorpe and is one to follow through the final weeks of the campaign.

Race 7 No10 TEQUILAMOCKINGBIRD
Trainer: Charlie Fellowes – Jockey: Harry Davies

While the jury is out regarding her ability to stay a mile and a half, TEQUILAMOCKINGBIRD is worth backing to prove she does as she remains at the track and on the surface she ran so well in defeat last month. The New Approach filly has been a model,of consistency each side of that, and is poised for another rewarding run for her owners.

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 2-8)

3, 1 x 9, 8, 1 x 11 x 7, 2 x 2, 8, 11 x 10, 8 x 4, 6, 14
