YARMOUTH

Race 2 No9 WICKED (Nap)
Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: James Doyle

Beautifully-bred Kingman colt WICKED has done everything right in his preparation for this back end introduction and if running as well as he works should deliver for top connections.

Race 5 No8 ELFORLEATHER (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Edward Greatrex

ELFORLEATHER put in his customary game effort to trouble the judge in a similar race over course and distance last week. While facing a couple of unexposed rivals as well the winner of that race Afloat, he has claims at the revised weights of turning the tables.

LEICESTER

Race 2 No3 KEEP SINGING (Nap)
Trainer: Stan Moore – Jockey: Joe Leavy

Top apprentice Leavy is a welcome addition to the chance of KEEP SINGING, who hasn’t enjoyed the rub of the green of late. The Kameko filly was disqualified for minor interference after sharing the spoils with Gretna Dreams at Wolverhampton, had no chance after a poor start at Bath and then found only the in-form Bownder her superior at Southwell.

From a good draw today she can deservedly break her duck in colours made popular by three times Irish Grand National winner Brown Lad.

Race 4 No1 AROLLA
Trainer: Harry Charlton – Jockey: Trevor Whelan

Kingman filly AROLLA was hooded on her first start at Ffos Las, but after attracting market support was never in danger and came home unchallenged. She’s done well both physically and mentally subsequently, and can make light of her penalty to remain unbeaten.

Race 6 No3 PEARLE D’OR
Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: D Nolan

PEARLE D’OR has endured a select campaign and is taking time to get his act together this season, but granted how well he performed at this time last year he’s worth a bet to belatedly come good. Underfoot conditions are his favour, while his task looks more straightforward than if he’d gone to a Grade 1 track.

NEWCASTLE

Race 2 No7 CELTIC WARRIOR (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: PJ McDonald

CELTIC WARRIOR has knocked on the door whilst proving expensive to follow, but this could be his day. He’s run well in three competitive affairs on turf and this is a first outing on sand since his Kempton triumph in early April. His all-weather form reads 321, making him a strong player with the cheek pieces he’s been wearing retained.

Race 4 No2 ARKLESIDE (Each Way)
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

Bethell has introduced some promising colts in these colours which makes ARKLESIDE one to monitor for a market move. The son of Saxon Warrior might have been found a weak maiden in which to step onto the stage.

Race 6 No3 PRAIRIE FALCON (Each Way)
Trainer: Michael Dods – Jockey: Clifford Lee

PRAIRIE FALCON carried my vote when frustratingly just out of the money at Ayr last week. His connections have retained the cheek pieces he’s worn the last twice, and now back on sand he can do better.

Race 8 No6 MASTERPAINTER (Each Way)
Trainer: Michael Dods – Jockey: Rhys Elliott

MASTERPAINTER hasn’t had much to shout about this year and it’s over two years since his only career win. That said, he put in a seasonal best when claiming a minor cheque here in September, and has been in the frame on two of his other four visits to Gosforth Park.

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 3-9)

8, 7, 12, 2 x 2, 6 x 10, 2, 6 x 3, 9 x 6, 5 x 6, 5 x 3
