BRIGHTON

Race 2 No8 VIVE LA REINE (Each Way)
Trainer: David Simcock – Jockey: Hector Crouch

If there’s one that can progress from the form already shown in this it’s VIVE LA REINE, who ran well in first time cheek pieces on handicap debut at Kempton and now switches for a first run on turf, a move that in itself can bring about improvement.

Race 5 No2 SABYINYO (Nap)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: George Bass

SABYINYO did too much in front at Chelmsford but was only beaten a length and a half into fourth, after his rider had dropped her hands and cost him an outright success on debut at Bath. The grey looks to have been found a perfect opportunity to open his account.

Race 6 No5 BEAU GESTE (Each Way)
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: Ray Dawson

Course winner BEAU GESTE has gone 12 outings since that triumph last summer, but showed with an earning run over course and distance last month that he’s in a good spot to turn back the clock. His trainer has a very good record with his runners at Brighton.

NOTTINGHAM

Race 5 No8 KINRARRA (Each Way)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Darragh Keenan

KINRARRA failed to capitalise from a patient ride here on her handicap debut earlier in the month. She travelled well, but didn’t have much room in the final furlong and ultimate disappointed. Granted a better passage today, she can put her best foot forward.

Race 6 No2 DUBAI IMMO (Nap)
Trainer: Marco Botti – Jockey: Neil Callan

A switch to grass could be what the doctor ordered for DUBAI IMMO, who though easy to back stayed on well to chase home Court Of Session at Kempton. The son of The Gurkha is yet to finish out of the money in four starts, and might be even better on a new surface.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 5 No3 ASWAN (Nap)
Trainer: Simon Crisford – Jockey: James Doyle

ASWAN looked a decent prospect when landing a hot nursery at Glorious Goodwood last summer. He was in an even hotter handicap when disappointing at York’s August meeting, his final start in 2021. On return to action he has a good chance of taking down the unbeaten favourite Yonafis.

Race 6 No2 ROSE’S GIRL
Trainer: Ed Dunlop – Jockey: Angus Villers

ROSE’S GIRL might have run at by the time you read this, but if connections go for a quick follow-up she can give her foes plenty to think about. The Ribchester filly has knocked on the door, and sets a benchmark for her rivals to aim at.

HEXHAM

Race 3 No2 KASHI (Nap)
Trainer: Karl Thornton – Jockey: Brian Hughes

Irish raider KASHI is going to be hard to beat on a first overseas excursion over jumps. The five-year-old returned from a short break to gain a first success in a novices’ hurdleat Cork. He has good form in handicaps in Ireland, and with the champion jockey in the irons has to be taken seriously.

Race 7 No6 BESTIARIUS (Each Way)
Trainer: Gillian Boanas – Jockey: Tom Midgley

BESTIARIUS could be hard to reel in if getting onto an uncontested lead in an admittedly competitive nightcap. The ten-year-old is happier on a left-handed track, and can be forgiven his underwhelming effort at Perth.

HUNTINGDON

Race 5 No2 GOUET DES BRUYERES
Trainer: Oliver Greenall – Jockey: Mr Toby Wynne

GOUET DES BRUYERES can make the best of a first visit to Huntingdon, and will have conditions to suit. The French import remains at the trip at which he put in a solid run in defeat at Hereford, and deserves to get back to winning ways.

Race 6 No5 SIROBBIE (Nap)
Trainer: David Bridgwater – Jockey: Lilly Pinchin

SIROBBIE has shown improved form in a visor, troubling the judge on each of his last three outings. His effort to finish third in a Class2 handicap hurdle at Haydock augers well for his chance in what is a drop in grade.
