LINGFIELD PARK

Race 4 No3 KAASIRR
Trainer: Simon Crisford – Jockey: Jack Mitchell

KAASIRR belied his double figure odds to make the useful Al Nafir pull out all the stops at Kempton last month. Remaining on Polytrack following that first venture onto the all-weather, the Dark Angel colt can get the better of the more exposed Unilateralism.

Race 6 No3 SKY POWER (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

SKY POWER has flattered only to deceive on a couple of starts since joining his trainer, but gone home with a cheque nevertheless. He’s been a beaten favourite on three out of four outings but has a good chance in this small field of putting one on the board.

SOUTHWELL

Race 1 No6 BARDD
Trainer: Mrs D O’Neill – Jockey: Carlin Quinn

Although still to win over fences after eight attempts, BARDD has frequently troubled the judge and has put in a couple of sterling efforts at Warwick, where jumping is at a premium. One of those happened last time in an exercise that should have sharpened him up.

Race 6 No6 LYDFORD (Nap)
Trainer: Dan Skelton – Jockey: Harry Skelton

LYDFORD indicated with an earning run first time over jumps at Leicester that there are races to be won with him under new management this winter. He made Zabeel Champion fight for the spoils and will have learned much from the experience.

NEWCASTLE

Race 2 No1 NAVAL CAPTAIN
Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

NAVAL CAPTAIN shaped like a useful sprint prospect when scoring over course and distance on debut last month. He got home by the skin of his teeth, but was well supported and should go forward sufficiently to be able to defy a penalty.

Race 3 No5 MILLIONAIRE WALTZ (Nap)
Trainer: Ben Haslam – Jockey: Andrew Mullen

MILLIONAIRE WALTZ has been a revelation with three-course and distance victories on the bounce. His potent turn of foot has proved a key weapon and he’s taken to stretch that impressive sequence from his revised mark.

Race 7 No2 PATONTHEBACK
Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: Jason Watson

PATONTHEBACK encountered traffic problems when second at Lingfield in a run that earned him a handicap mark. The Kodi Bear gelding is one of the least exposed candidates for this second division of the sprint handicap and if progressing further is carded to get into the shake-up.
