CATTERICK BRIDGE

Race 4 No5 PLATINUM GIRL (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

PLATINUM GIRL takes the eye on a first handicap assignment for a trainer adept with this type of filly. She’s narrowly missed out on a payment the last twice, and should enjoy the return to seven furlongs.

Race 7 No5 ROUND THE ISLAND (Each Way)
Trainer: Simon Whitaker – Jockey: Phil Dennis

ROUND THE ISLAND wasn’t able to add to his stupendous course record at Pontefract last time, but has been in good form this year both there and at away tracks. He’s yet to win at this venue, but has several good earning efforts here on his CV, and today the door can open.

YARMOUTH

Race 3 No1 CRYSTAL CAPRICE (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Ryan Moore

CRYSTAL CAPRICE didn’t quite cut the mustard when posting a midfield finish on seasonal return at Newbury, but she’s well regarded at Freemason Lodge and can outpoint paper favourite Sea Galaxy on the way to better things.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 3 No3 HOLKHAM BAY (Nap)
Trainer: William Knight – Jockey: Neil Callan

HOLKHAM BAY put in a most pleasing first effort to chase home Mai Alward here last month. The Aclaim gelding has a good sprinting pedigree, and granted normal progression should prevail against Ana Hadi and Elongate who also placed on debut.

Race 6 No4 CONSENSUS DE VEGA
Trainer: Roger Varian – Jockey: Jack Mitchell

Although a costly failure at Yarmouth where she was no match for Sea Tsarina, CONSENSUS DE VEGA is well regarded and capable of far better as she returns from a month’s break. The daughter of Lope De Vega can go one better at the main expense of Minwah.

BATH

Race 6 No6 LAGUNA VENETA (Nap)
Trainer: Charles Bishop – Jockey: Eve Johnson Houghton

New Bay filly LAGUNA VENETA landed some good bets when getting off the mark at Leicester. Her stable continues to be amongst the winners, and she has a good chance of going back-to-back.

Race 7 No10 PATROON
Trainer: Denis Coakley – Jockey: Harry Burns

PATROON improved for the fitting of cheek pieces to take home a minor cheque on his Polytrack return at Lingfield. From a stable that has sent out a couple of big priced recent winners, he can build on that to open his account.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 3 No1 GOLDEN LYRA (Nap)
Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Tom Marquand

GOLDEN LYRA had her colours lowered by Stay Alert at Newbury but there was no disgrace in that performance. The Lope De Vega filly has worked well on Polytrack at home, and should get back to winning ways.

Race 4 No4 CALL MY BLUFF
Trainer: Dominic Ffrench Davis – Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa

CALL MY BLUFF is a horse with few miles on his racing clock over the past couple of seasons. He won two races on the grass last year before being inched out in a better race than this at Ascot. Following an earning effort on his Chester comeback he’s poised to regain the winning thread.
