CHESTER
Race 1 No2 ECHO BEACH (Nap)
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: James Doyle
A switch to grass brought about a big improvement from ECHO BEACH on his second start at Haydock. He was comfortable on the easy conditions in chasing home Rich Dream, and if making a small amount of further progress should be capable of thwarting perennial bridesmaid Silvestris and class dropper Mere Green in this novice auction stakes.
Race 3 No3 FANNIE BY GASLIGHT (Each Way)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Franny Norton
FANNIE BY GASLIGHT bids to repeat her success in the same race 12 months ago off exactly the same weight. The mare hasn’t enjoyed the smoothest of preparations but will be more forward than for her belated comeback at Beverley.
Race 7 No3 CALCULATION (Each Way)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: James Doyle
CALCULATION should be suited by this tight turning track and can return to the form level that enabled him to complete a hat-trick last summer. That feat was assisted by the fitting of a visor which is retained, and the gelding can bounce back from a defeat at Doncaster as he returns to a Class 3.

MUSSELBURGH

Race 5 No4 LIGHTS ON (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Ryan Moore
LIGHTS ON has quickly made her mark after a late entry to the stage. The daughter of Siyouni finished second on debut at Leicester, then made no mistake at Newcastle. She’s out of a mare by Inchinor, and should handle underfoot conditions if they get softer.
Race 7 No2 IT HAD TO BE YOU
Trainer: Jedd O’Keeffe – Jockey: Graham Lee
Easily the most interesting runner is IT HAD TO BE YOU on debut for O’Keeffe. The Frankel gelding placed on both starts for William Haggas on the Chelmsford Polytrack at this time last year. He’s making a late entry to the stage but has worked well on grass at home.
NOTTINGHAM

Race 4 No3 AADDEEY (Nap)
Trainer: Simon Crisford – Jockey: William Buick

AADDEEY was taking on a more experienced foe when chasing home John Locke at Goodwood and has come on mentally for that educational first foray onto the race track. The son of New Approach is going to be more worldly wise and can open his account as the best bet on the card.
Race 7 No1 DANZENO
Trainer: Mike Appleby – Jockey: Ray Dawson
DANZENO can preserve his unbeaten record at this course, with a welter burden countered by his apprentice jockey’s 5lb claim. The selection has proved difficult to win with whilst maintaining a high level of form in defeat, latterly finishing second to Stone Of Destiny in the Portland at Doncaster. If he shows up in that frame of mind he should win.
