Race 6: SAUSOLITO SUNRISE (7)

Formerly a high class staying chaser for Philip Hobbs, SAUSOLITO SUNRISE made a solid start to his new career as a hunter-chaser when hunting up the equally talented Double Ross at Chepstow. He meets no fewer than four that won on their latest starts but granted the improvement that should be forthcoming he can open his account for new trainer Murphy.
Race 7: MIAH GRACE (13)
Trainer: Jedd O’Keeffe
Jockey: Ross Chapman
There was much to like about the debut of MIAH GRACE at Wetherby where the filly caught the eye doing all her best work at the finish in second behind Seaton Carew. The key factor is that she gets all the allowances, and in receipt of almost a stone from Shanroe and Holme Abbey can go one better at this suitable stiffer track.

Race 4: BRANDY JAMES (4)

Jockey: Dane O’Neill
After running consistently well over hurdles BRANDY JAMES is a rare runner on the Flat for his trainer. This is an experiment designed to keep the horse in competitive action whilst preserving his novice status over hurdles for next season. This is a very good opportunity for the gelding to break the ice.
Race 8: CONUNDRUM (6)

Jockey: Joe Garrity
Aside from his worrying draw towards the outer on this turning mile, CONUNDRUM has plenty going for him as his attention is turned to handicaps. His best of five starts was his last when he finished third to Gabrial The One here in the autumn. With his stable in good form, another big run is on the cards.

Race 5: TELECASTER (10)

Several of the big yards are represented in this fascinating maiden but there’s no getting away from the claims of TELECASTER who shaped so promisingly when chasing home Bangkok on his racecourse debut at Doncaster last month. The Nap showed telltale signs of greenness but stayed on encouragingly when the penny dropped in a run that should have taught him a lot.
Race 7: VANITY VANITY (11)

Jockey: Oisin Murphy
Hailing from a small yard that does well with the resources available, VANITY VANITY is no star but nevertheless has the profile to be a contender in this. She’s as fit as a flea from her exploits on the all-weather, having put in a career-best when this at Lingfield in February. Coakley is amongst the winners and this could well be another one.
