Trainer Comments:

Trainer Eric Sands has interestingly engaged the services of
top jockey Anton Marcus for his charge and the experienced horseman was short
and sweet in his comments about Rainbow Bridge when replying:
“His prep has gone
really well. I am expecting a true run race which will ultimately reveal the
best horse in the contest. The filly Oh Susanna could be a real threat again
this year but stable jockey Richard Fourie has opted for Do It Again.”

Jockey Comments:
A jockey who has recently been acknowledged for his century of Grade 1 winners and has already preceded it, Anton Marcus needs no introduction to avid racegoers. “Superman” as he is affectionately known has picked up a promising mount in the form of RAINBOW BRIDGE and had the following to comment “He gives me a nice feel but I respect the fact that he hasn’t been ten furlongs. I am expecting an even run race and the big dangers are previous allies Do It Again and Legal Eagle, along with the filly Oh Susanna.”

Winning Form – Magic Tips Comment:
RAINBOW BRIDGE was given every chance when easily beaten by DO IT AGAIN in their recent clash but the high quality Ideal World gelding may still be progressive and could enjoy this test of stamina. That said, it does seem a tall order to reverse the form with the top rating but it must be noted that brilliant jockey Marcus has parted ways with eight time Grade 1 winner LEGAL EAGLE in favour of the Eric Sands inmate who is incidentally the yard’s only runner on the day.

Verdict: Top gelding who was beaten fair and square by DO IT AGAIN last time but bred to handle this distance, respect.
