RACE 1

RHAPSODY has
inconsistent form lines to his credit. The form his penultimate run catches the
eye when he defeated My Sugar by a nose on this course. If repeating that type
of effort then he should go close in the opening contest. GOKO earned his fifth career last time out. He runs well for
Antoine Hamelin and the pair should be able to pose a threat to the top
selection. AMAZING ROCKY dictated
terms poorly last time out. He found support in the market on debut which
suggests he is showing good work back at home.

RACE 2

BLAZING PARTNERS
best run this season came over this c&d. He looks fairly handicapped and is
always thereabouts. If putting his best foot forward then he should be right
there at the business end. GREEN ENVY has
inconsistent form lines to his credit but he stayed on nicely last time when
beaten by Strathclyde and must a contender on exposed form. RED BRICK FIGHTER was narrowly beaten
in his comeback effort. He should strip much fitter and jumps in pole position.

RACE 3

JADE PHOENIX
makes his first start on dirt. He is unexposed on this surface but brings
attractive form into the race.  VICTORY IN HAND found one better in the
form of Super Alliances last time and if repeating that type of effort then he
can find himself in the winner’s enclosure. RESOLUTE is a lightly raced galloper from the Tony Millard stable.
He has a win on this surface to his credit this season and it will be no
surprise to see him pick up another victory.

RACE 4

ALL FOR SOUTH is
making headway every start. He is yet to feature since returning from a layoff
but should be at peak fitness having his third run after a rest. CZARSON brings consistent form into
this race. He was only beaten a neck last time but Lucky Patch last time and
will be looking to make amends this afternoon. GUNNAR won his comeback in fine fashion when drawing clear to win
by 4.5L. The manner in which he won suggests there is plenty more to come from
this individual and he could follow up.

RACE 5

MASTER HERO
finished runner-up on debut. He was only beaten 1.75L on that occasion and with
the expected natural improvement, he should take a power of beating. ALL FOR ST PAUL’S came back to his best
last time when beaten a neck by Casimiro. The form of that run suggests that he
should be a strong contender again today. SEAWEED
FORTUNE
brings consistent form into the race. He has finished third in his
last two outings and should run into the money.

RACE 6

MERCURIAL is
still fairly unexposed despite being pipped a nose in his second start. He is a
horse with plenty of scope for improvement and he should prove hard to beat. COURAGEOUS DRAGON has placed in his
last two outings. He is drawn wide but will get all the necessary assistance
from French ace Alex Badel. TELECOM
ROCKET
is never far off the winner and he won’t be short of race-fitness
having performed quite a few times already this season.

RACE 7

The Chevalier Cup’s first selection is SKY DARCI. This Fownes-trained inmate is in search of a hat-trick
of wins. He found plenty support in his last two starts which suggests he is
showing potential back at home. He faces his stiffest task to date but it is
encouraging that Joao Moreira has kept faith in the ride. LUCKY EXPRESS finished 1L behind BUDDIES last time out. He is only 0.5kgs worse off at the weights
and there shouldn’t be much between them when they hit the line.

RACE 8

BELUGA is the
best bet on the card. He is a two-time winner from four starts and is still
clearly on the upgrade. He is drawn wide and rises in class but should be up to
the task at hand. BIG FORTUNE likes
to race on the speed. He will benefit from a 3kgs claiming apprentice and he
will be given every chance from his mid-field barrier position. LOCKHEED shoulders top weight but he
should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest. He performs well for
current champion jockey Zac Purton and the pair should be right there at the
business end.

RACE 9

CHEVALIER PRINCE
returns from a break. He was only beaten 0.8L in his only start last term and
the break may have been just what he needed. Joao Moreira takes the ride and he
shoulders just 52kgs on his back. SUNNY
STAR
should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest. He beat the
progressive Mighty Power last time and the American bred looks set for another
decent performance. UNCLE STEVE
stayed on well last time when beaten 2.25L at the wire. He will benefit from a
claiming apprentice and jumps in pole position.

RACE 10

HEALTHY HAPPY
represents decent each-way value for Hong racing pundits. He won his first
start in Hong Kong and with the expected natural improvement he could make it
back-to-back wins this afternoon. BALLISTIC
KING
carries top weight but he jumps from gate 2 which is a big plus. He
was only beaten a neck by the progressive Mighty Giant and has obvious claims
on exposed form. BEAUTY RUSH is
drawn best of all. He narrowly won his comeback effort but should strip fitter
and looks a strong contender in the lucky last race.
