VALUE BET – MASTER HERO ridden by K. Teetan BEST BET – KURPANY ridden by J. Moreira

Bi-pot: 7,9/2,4,7/1,9/2,7/4,5/1,3.

Race 1 – Time: 06:30      Class Griffin – 1000m

Selections: 1/8/6

CORDYCEPS SIX won his last start in impressive fashion despite receiving a bump at a crucial stage in the race. He still has plenty scope for improvement and it will be no surprise to see him make it quick back-to-back wins. SMART IDEA led in his below par recent effort. He drops back to the minimum trip and can bounce back to his best form.

Race 2 – Time: 07:00      Class 5 Handicap – 1200m

Selections: 12/11/10

FOR FUN’S SAKE was clear second best last time out. He brings the best form into this contest and from pole position, will have plenty supporters behind him. EVER STRONG made minor progress last time despite racing three-wide. He meets a moderate field today and should be able to pose a threat to the top selection.

Race 3 – Time: 07:30      Class 5 Handicap – 1200m

Selections: 10/3/1

KA YING BRILLIANCE has finished well in his last two outings on the All Weather Track. He cut throats last time and if able to have his own way in-front today, can go from gun to tape. REGENCY GEM followed up his most recent win with a decent effort on this surface. If overcoming his wide draw, he should be able to challenge the top selection.

Race 4 – Time: 08:00      Class 4 Handicap – 1200m

Selections: 9/2/1

FIRE BALL brings decent form into this contest despite being no match for the winner in his last start. He is drawn best of all and with current HKJC champion Purton in the saddle, should take a power of beating. VUKAN was his own worst enemy in his last start as he hung and brushed another horse at the 100m. He is much better than that effort suggests and must be considered in this line-up.

Race 5 – Time: 08:30      Class 4 Handicap  – 1200m

Selections: 7/10/2

LUCKY RUBY won his penultimate start under Chadwick and it is encouraging to see the pair re-united. He recorded back-to-back wins before his moderate latest and will be looking to get back to winning ways. HOLYSHOWCASING made vast progress in his last start on this surface. He may be at best over 1200m at this stage of his career and from his inside draw, can confirm his recent improvement.

Race 6 – Time: 09:00      Class 4 Handicap – 1400m

Selections: 9/7/1

PLIKCLONE finished runner-up in his last start on this course. He also went close at Happy Valley in February when partnered with Purton and the pair merit healthy respect. SUPER MISSION is much better than his flat last effort. The form of his penultimate run catches the eye when he was just pipped at the wire and a repeat of that effort can find himself in the winners enclosure.

Race 7 – Time: 09:35      Class 4 Handicap – 1400m

Selections: 2/4/7

MASTER HERO was narrowly beaten in his latest over this C&D. He is drawn wide and if getting across without using up too much energy, definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. GRACYLOVE won his last start well. He hit the front at the 250m and fought hard all the way to the line. He takes on stronger rivals and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 8 – Time: 10:05      Class 3 Handicap – 1200m

Selections: 9/1/4

MASTER EIGHT was an impressive debut winner under Moreira. He set the pace on that occasion and won easier than the margin suggests. He has plenty scope for improvement and could be absolutely anything. REGENCY BO BO shoulders top weight which is a slight concern but he recorded back to back wins under Purton before his moderate latest and is capable of getting back to winning ways.

Race 9 – Time: 10:35      Class 3 Handicap – 1200m

Selections: 7/2/9

HARMONY SPIRIT has placed in his last two outings on the All Weather Track. He was finishing strongly in his last start under this apprentice and on form is difficult to oppose. MAN STAR won his last start in fine style on this surface. He has reeled off two wins already this season under Teetan and is fairly-handicapped in this contest.

Race 10 – Time: 11:10    Class 2 Handicap – 1200m

Selections: 5/4/2

KURPANY is the best bet on the card. He showed guts in his last start when pipped in a blanket finish. He has shown versatility on all courses and definitely has the potential to win this Class 2 Handicap. HARMONY AND RICH led by a length last time and found extra where it matters most. He is in search of a hat-trick of victories and must be considered.

Race 11 – Time: 11:45    Class 3 Handicap – 1600m

Selections: 3/1/7

ALL FOR ST PAUL’S dictated terms well last time when narrowly beaten at the wire. He may adopt similar tactics in the lucky last and from his inside draw, will be hard to peg back in the closing stages. CALIFORNIA TEN should have finished closer to the winner last time as he raced on heels at the 150m. He is well-drawn and has strong claims on his attractive prior form.
