07:00 Race 1 – Class 5 Handicap 1200m (All Weather Track)

Selections: 9/10/1

GOLDEN MISSION was narrowly beaten last time and will be looking to make amends. He gets the services of Joao Moreira who should be able to coax a little bit extra out of him where it matters most. The Jockey on TIGERLAD dropped his whip last time and that effort is arguably best ignored. He comes in at the bottom of the weights and looks fairly handicapped. VALIANT ELEGANCE has placed in his last three outings and will benefit from an apprentice allowance once again.

07:30 Race 2 – Class 4 Handicap 1200m

Selections: 6/7/1

VIGOR CHAMP followed up his most recent win with a fair effort when staying on nicely at Happy Valley last time. He is drawn wide but has claims with a decent passage in running. SO AWESOME is likely to settle just off the speed and he hasn’t finished far off the winner in his last two starts. He meets the right field today and should make his presence felt. DIAMOND BRILLIANT has placed in his last two starts and should be right there jumping from gate 2.

08:00 Race 3 – Class 4 Handicap 1200m

Selections: 4/7/1

PARTY GENIUS won with a ton in hand last time and is racing well with Karis Teetan aboard. He is drawn wide but should be able to make it quick back-to-back wins. FIRE BALL followed up his most recent win with a fair effort and from his inside draw must be respected. CASA DE FORCA shoulders top weight but he found no challengers last time when winning over seven furlongs. He takes on stronger rivals and should be up to the task at hand.

08:30 Race 4 – Class 4 Handicap 1000m

Selections: 1/2/7

CORRIENTHES was an unlucky loser last time. He rallied strongly and probably would have won the race had his jockey not dropped his right-side rein. He shoulders top weight and on form looks difficult to oppose. UNITED WE STAND returns from a break which may have done him the world of good. If putting his best foot forward he can pose a threat to the top selection. TREASURE OF FIELD is a first-timer with Zac Purton in the saddle. He is a New Zealand bred son of Danehill and the betting will be the best guide with regards to his chances.

09:00 Race 5 – Class 4 Handicap 1400m

Selections: 13/3/7

GALAXY EMPEROR won in fine style last time. He cast a shoe-in running on that occasion which makes the effort somewhat more encouraging. He seems to be over the issues of his penultimate run and should take a power of beating. SUPER MISSION was narrowly beaten last time under this young, talented rider and the pair will be looking to make amends. GREEN ENVY runs well for Joao Moreira and if overcoming his wide draw he should be right there at the business end.

09:35 Race 6 – Class 4 Handicap 1400m

Selections: 2/4/9

GLUCK RACER won at only the second time of asking. He is an unexposed sort with plenty of scope for improvement. He should be at home over the extra furlong on offer and is a massive runner in this contest. CITY LEGEND followed up his most recent win with a fair effort despite receiving a bump at the 900m mark. Ruan Maia retains the ride and the pair can get back to winning ways. GOOD BUDDY raced on heels at the 200m and was not ridden out to the finish as a result. He is still lightly raced and capable of vast improvement.

10:05 Race 7 – Class 3 Handicap 1200m

Selections: 2/3/8

ALL IN MIND finished well last time and gets Moreira in the irons who may be able to get the best out of him where it matters most. HEZA BEAUTY needed his comeback run badly. He is drawn pole, will strip fitter and can bounce back to his best form.

10:35 Race 8 – Class 2 Handicap 1000m

Selections: 11/10/2

VALIANT DREAM won his penultimate start under Karis Teetan and it is encouraging to see the pair reunited. He prefers racing at Sha Tin and should prove hard to beat in this contest. MUTIMILLION found one better last time. He dictated terms well on that occasion and if allowed a tender lead will be difficult to peg back in the closing stages. PING HAI BRAVO is much better than his last start when forced to race three-wide. He is drawn in gate 2 and it will be no surprise to see him find a form return.

11.10 Race 9 – Class 3 Handicap 1600m

Selections: 7/5/1

BEAUTY FIT was bumped at the start last time and then raced without cover. He moved up with purpose only to be outrun in the latter stages. He is well-drawn and with better luck in running definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. ALL FOR ST PAUL’S followed up back-to-back wins with a good third-placed finish over this distance. If overcoming his wide draw he can pose a threat to the top selection.

11.45 Race 10 – Class 2 Handicap 1400m

Selections: 4/5/2

FANTASTIC WAY is the best bet on the card. He is unbeaten and won his last start easier than the margin suggests. He is a talented three-year-old that is still on the upgrade and will be looking to keep his unbeaten record intact. ROMAN TURBO was an unlucky loser last time as he was badly hampered at the 200m mark. He jumps from a decent draw and can pick up the pieces should the top choice fluff his lines in the lucky last.
