VALUE BET – HEALTHY HAPPY ridden by A. Badel

BEST BET – KILLER BEE ridden by J. Moreira

Bi-pot: 1,2/3,6,8/2,8/2,7/1,8/4,7.

Race 1 – Time: 07:00      Class 5 Handicap – 1600m

Selections: 1/9/11

JIANGXI STAMINA responded well to Teetan’s urgings last time out when finishing runner-up over seven furlongs. He shoulders top weight but meets the right field and should take a power of beating in this opening contest. WONDER EXPRESS has placed in his last two outings. He is drawn best of all and will be staying on strongly at the business end.

Race 2 – Time: 07:30      Class 4 Handicap – 2000m

Selections: 6/11/12

NUREMBURG ran on from eight lengths off the pace last time out. He is in a rich vein of form and gets Moreira in the saddle, who may be able to coax a little bit extra out of him. TAILOR MADE won impressively last time out despite experiencing an awkward start. He takes on stronger rivals and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 3 – Time: 08:00      Class 4 Handicap – 1000m

Selections: 2/3/14

LUCKY QUALITY is better than his moderate last start. He is drawn wide but the booking of Moreira to ride is significant and on some of his prior form, must have a say. CIRCUIT SEVEN should have finished closer last time as he was cramped for galloping room at the 700m. He is drawn wide but if repeating that last effort, should be in the mix.

Race 4 – Time: 08:30      Class 4 Handicap – 1200m

Selections: 3/7/11

GLUCK RACER followed up his most recent win with a decent effort over seven furlongs. He drops back to a more suitable trip, is still on the upgrade and can get back to winning ways.  MARADO produced a fair debut effort despite racing wide turning for home. He would have gained from the experience and it is encouraging that Maia has kept faith in the ride.

Race 5 – Time: 09:00      Grade 3  – 1800m

Selections: 2/1/9

COLUMBUS COUNTY was narrowly beaten last time and had legitimate excuses as he cast a shoe in the running. His last win came in October which is a slight concern but definitely has the credentials to win this Grade 3 contest. SOUTHERN LEGEND is always in the frame and despite giving weight to the rest of the field, should be right there where it matters most.

Race 6 – Time: 09:35      Class 4 Handicap – 1600m

Selections: 3/8/6

CHARGE ON was an unlucky loser last time as he was caught four-deep when turning for home. He moved up at the 400m on that occasion and was only passed in the latter stages. ROBOT WARRIOR produced a fair last run despite racing four-wide turning for home. He has cracked gate 2 and should give a much better account of himself.

Race 7 – Time: 10:05      Grade 3 – 1400m

Selections: 8/2/5

HEALTHY HAPPY showed guts and determination in his last start when narrowly defeated at the post. He is arguably at best between 1400-1600m at this stage of his career and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. SKY DARCI is in search of a hat-trick of wins. He was reportedly cut into last time which makes the win that much more encouraging. He takes on stronger rivals and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 8 – Time: 10:35      Class 3 Handicap – 1200m

Selections: 2/7/10

KILLER BEE is the best bet on the card as he won his last start easier than the margin suggests. He hit the front at the 200m on that occasion and the manner in which he drew away from his opposition suggests there is plenty more to come from this individual. ELON made steady progress in his last outing despite receiving a bump at the start. He remains in Class 3 which suggests his ability is better than his form on paper.

Race 9 – Time: 11:10      Class 2 Handicap – 1400m

Selections: 8/1/5

E STAR followed up his most recent win with a positive finish in his last start under Bentley. He has cracked gate 2 and looks fairly handicapped in this contest. BEAUTY SMILE had acceptable excuses last time as he was found to have nasal discharge post-race. That effort is probably best ignored and he is capable of bouncing back to best form.

Race 10 – Time: 11:45    Class 3 Handicap – 1400m

Selections: 4/7/8

SUPER WINNER reeled off the hat-trick in his last start. He is racing superbly with Moreira in the saddle and the pair should take a power of beating in the lucky last. SUPER TEN found himself in a three-way tussle last time and managed to keep all challengers at bay. He is a decent pacesetter and if allowed to have his own way in front, may be hard to peg back in the closing stages.
