7:00 – Race 1 Class 5 Handicap 1600m

The form of BRAVE POWER’S penultimate run catches the eye when only beaten just under a length by Soccer Master. He jumps from a neat draw, looks well-weighted with 53kgs to shoulder and represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. LIGHT MY DAY was a surprise winner last time. He remains in Class 5 and it is encouraging that Shinn has kept faith in the ride.

7:30 – Race 2 Class 4 Handicap 1400m

Selections: 4/2/11

INFINITE POWER is likely to overcome the wide draw and adopt front-running tactics. He was only beaten 2.3 lengths by Cheerful Days last time and should give a good account of himself. VICTORY SCHOLARS showed signs of needing his comeback run. He is likely to race on the speed and has strong claims on his prior form.

8:00 – Race 3 Class 4 Handicap 1600m

Selections: 12/13/5

STUNNING IMPACT was only beaten just under a length in his comeback effort. He should strip fitter and with just 53kgs to shoulder, looks a strong contender. DAILY CHARM is another one that comes in with a lightweight. He wasn’t disgraced last time behind God of Dragon and on his prior form could be one to cause an upset.

8:30 – Race 4 Class 4 Handicap 1200m

Selections: 2/3/8

WHIZZ KID has been narrowly beaten in both starts under Karis Teetan. He has shown enough potential to warrant first selection and could go from gun to tape. AWESOME TREASURE produced a smart debut when beaten a neck by Gracylove. He is relatively unexposed, has plenty scope for improvement and can challenge for top honors.

9:00 – Race 5 Class 4 Handicap 1400m

Selections: 9/1/7

NIMBLE NIMBUS was beaten 1.8 lengths by VOYAGE STAR in his last start. He is 1kg better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result. BELLA BABY wasn’t disgraced in his comeback run. He gets Zac Purton in the saddle, who may be able to coax extra out of him where it matters most.

9:30 – Race 6 Class 2 Handicap 1200m

Selections: 7/2/4

FANTASTIC WAY was beaten half a length by TRILLION WIN in his comeback run. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. CALIFORNIA RAD is improving with each outing this season and he should give a good account of himself.

10:05 – Race 7 Group 3 1800m

Selections: 4/2/5

COLOMBUS COUNTY was beaten just under a length by Panfield in a Group 2 last time. He drops slightly in class and looks difficult to oppose with Moreira in the saddle. KA YING STAR was right behind the top selection in the race referred to above. The pair meet on the same weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them at the wire.

10:40 Race 8 Class 3 Handicap 1000m

Selections: 1/6/3

NERVOUS WITNESS has won both starts comfortably under Purton. He is a sort that is loaded with ability and there should be plenty more to come from this individual throughout the season. CORDYCEPS SIX is the best amongst the rest with apprentice Jerry Chau aboard. He won his last start in impressive fashion defeating Smart Idea but looks held by the top selection on his penultimate run.

11:15 – Race 9 Class 3 Handicap 1600m

Selections: 2/7/1

MALDIVES moved up like a winner in his last start when narrowly beaten by Xiang Yin. He picked up three wins last season and looks set for another in this type of field. CHEVALIER PRINCE hasn’t finished too far off the winner recently. He comes in with a light weight and should make his presence felt.

11:50 Race 10 Class 3 Handicap 1400m

Selections: 1/3/6

BLAZE WARRIOR will look to keep his unbeaten record intact in the lucky last. He beat Moeraki last time over this distance to reel off the hat-trick and he should take a power of beating, despite having to shoulder top weight. IMA SINGLE MAN produced a fair last run when beaten by a progressive type in the form of Packing Victory. He has a wide draw to overcome and should be doing his best work at the finish.
