Magic Tips Preview
The Dynasty filly JUST SENSUAL proved her class with a cracking comeback sprint behind the champion Carry On Alice on her local debut a fortnight ago and she will be fitter today.
Of course she faces a huge task at the weights with some accomplished older rivals but will prefer this extra furlong and the bay filly deserves healthy respect.
She has a midfield barrier on her track debut.
FORT EMBER is way better than her below-par last showing at the highest level where the cheek pieces may have contributed to her demise.
The classy daughter of Elusive Fort is undoubtedly worth another chance and she has fond memories of this course, having captured a Grade 3 here on New Year’s Day.
She runs well for Gavin Lerena and is drawn at gate 2.
NIGHTINGALE is a top class Cape visitor who will be fitter after needing her comeback sprint on her return to this province.
She captured a Grade 1 in the ‘Mother City’ in her penultimate outing and will prefer this extra furlong.
That said, she takes a long time to unwind and this short run-in is a worry.
Her stablemate SILVER MOUNTAIN continues to struggle to find her best form but is drawn best of all & is weighted to finish closer to JUST SENSUAL.
