Magic Tips Comments
JANOOBI has developed into a top-class miler and his scintillating last victory in the Guineas at Greyville probably convinced his conditioner that this stiff test could suit the speedy bay colt who shoulders a low mass. Of course, he still has to prove himself over sprints at this high level but the son of Silvano may prove equal to the task at hand.
His fellow three-year-old ATTENBOROUGH is an emerging sprinter of note and he produced an excellent burst of speed to win his local debut over a similar trip on this course four weeks ago. He takes on considerably stronger today but will be fitter and should love the likely cracking speed. The Ramsden inmate also has a galloping weight.
The veteran gelding EXELERO seems to reserve his best performances for this course and he is 2.5kgs better off with ATTENBOROUGH for a 1.25 lengths deficit on their recent meeting. He finished 3rd in this event behind TALKTOTHESTARS twelve months ago and is 1kg better off with his conqueror, who found form again with a big finish in his last run in Gauteng.
BRUTAL FORCE wasn’t far behind the latter in that Highveld Grade 1 earlier this month and must have hope with Strydom retaining the ride.
