Race 2: BINGWA (10)
Race 3: ROUGE ALLURE (2)
Race 6: CLEVER GUY (4)
Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: SHOWDOWN KID (1)

Jockey: Schwarz D   Trainer: Dawson C

SHOWDOWN KID was a winner of her last start, but was disqualified as her workrider did not weigh in at the correct weight. She ran a very good race in her penultimate start when finishing second over this distance at the Vaal. She jumps from a good draw today and should get it right in this type of field.

TOP BET

Race 2: BINGWA (10)
Jockey: Murray C  Trainer: Sham D

BINGWA has run two good races to date. He found one too good in the form of Eliud last time, but stayed on well at the finish. The son of Pathfork should enjoy the rise to the mile and with Callan Murray in the saddle, he should take a power of beating.

Race 3: ROUGE ALLURE (2)

Jockey: Lerena G  Trainer: Moffatt S

ROUGE ALLURE won a very good race in her last start over this C&D. She was reported to be cut into that day which makes the run that much more encouraging. This is a small field and if repeating that run today, she should notch up her eleventh career victory.
Race 8: MADAME PATRICE (3)

Jockey: Strydom P – Trainer: Spies C

MADAME PATRICE
showed good signs of a form return in her last start over the minimum trip on this course. She showed plenty of speed that day and stayed on well at the finish. She has finished second once and third twice from as many starts on this course. Her last win came under Piere Strydom and she should be the one to beat here.

VALUE BET

Race 9: HOW DOES IT TAST (2)
Jockey: Kennedy W – Trainer: Dawson C

HOW DOES IT TASTE has fair recent form to his credit. He showed signs of needing his last two starts after returning from a 23-week break. The son of Jay Peg won his only attempt over this C&D. He takes a drop in class today and should be cherry-ripe.
