AMERICAN STORY was given a good ride when she kept going to win her last start over ten furlongs on the standside course, earlier this season. She was upped five pounds for her effort and has a little bit to find with a few of today’s rivals but her sharp turn of foot is conducive to this tight track and she could still be a major force. The drop in distance will also help and she is her stable’s only runner on the card.
Race 8: TRICIA DUPONT(4)
The track specialist TRICIA DUPONT improved her formline when finishing close-up over ten furlongs on this course, three weeks ago. She finished just under one length adrift of Fortissima (runs in race 7) that day and now drops in class. The bay filly was docked a solitary pound after that performance and she should be very competitive in this line-up.
