QUAD BAY has come back well since his lengthy absence and looks ready to win again. He was a little disappointing when he failed to quicken over seven furlongs last time, but rather importantly that was on the standside course. He seems to have a particular affection for this inside track and holds a very good record here. He could enjoy Chambers’ patient riding style and the son of Mullins Bay has a bright chance of exiting the maiden ranks.
Race 2: BLUEBELL GLADE(6)
Jockey: S’Manga KHUMALO – Trainer: Weiho MARWING
BLUEBELL GLADE has shown promise to date and may have had too much to do from a wide draw when tiring late into third over a mile on the standside course, four weeks ago. She went within a short head of victory on this course in her penultimate outing and S’manga Khumalo climbs aboard her again. This extra furlong should suit the daughter of Fort Wood really well and she could be the right one from a handy draw on this course.
Race 3: JET FEVER(5)
Jockey: S’Manga KHUMALO – Trainer: Gavin VAN ZYL
JET FEVER is rated by his conditioner and the two layoffs seemed to have benefitted the son of Jet Master. He came from some way back to finish second over seven furlongs on the standside course on his comeback run, three weeks ago. He will strip much fitter today and the extra distance should be right up his alley. He has a midfield draw and is no stranger to this track.
Race 6: DAZZLING MOON(5)
DAZZLING MOON is in good touch and she wasn’t disgraced against male rivals in a pinnacle contest last time out. She drops to a much more suitable class of opposition today and she has a good record on this course. She seems to run very well for this 4kgs claiming apprentice and is well drawn at barrier 2. The daughter of Victory Moon will receive a handy 6kgs from the classy JIMMI CHOO and should be involved in the finish.

CARNABY STREET is seldom beaten far but may have found seven furlongs too sharp for him in his last start. Still, he has been facing much stronger for quite some time now and loves racing on this track. He continues to slide in the ratings and is ideally distance suited here. The son of Var is drawn in pole and could represent some good each/way value today, despite the big mass.
