Tips Today - Tuesday - Horse Racing - Hollywoodbets

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips for Goodwood, Catterick, Kempton and Salisbury.

Goodwood Best Bets

Race 3: CELTIC ART (1)
Trainer: Paul Cole
Jockey: PJ McDonald

Paul Cole has found a perfect opportunity for his smart colt CELTIC ART to put one on the board in a race that has cut up massively in his favour. His form to run the equally progressive Molatham to a neck in the Convivial Maiden at York, with the pair clear, puts him well ahead of his three foes.

Race 4: GO WELL SPICY (8)
Trainer: Mick Channon
Jockey: Hollie Doyle

This is an eighth career start for GO WELL SPICY who has had a different jockey on board each time. Hollie Doyle has done well for this stable and in a tough heat where all but one of the ten runners are previous winners, the combination should be in the thick of the action at the finish.

Race 7: COUNT CAVALLI (3)
Trainer: Simon Crisford
Jockey: James Doyle

A first-time visor can do the trick for COUNT CAVALLI who with form figures of 22332 has become a perennial best man. He was turned over when a shade of odds-on at Ffos Las last time despite boasting the best form in the race. His trainer pulls him back on the distance ladder today, which along with the added headgear should make the difference.

Catterick Best Bets

Race 5: GIN IN THE INN (1)
Trainer: Richard Fahey
Jockey: S Davis

This veterans’ race looks like a good opportunity for GIN IN THE INN to come out of the wilderness. A multiple winner; his modest form this year means he’s on a tumbling mark but most of those races have been at a higher rung of the handicap ladder and he makes a considerable class drop here.

Race 6: DEW POND (3)
Trainer: Tim Easterby
Jockey: David Allan

The blinkered DEW POND is a course winner who despite running consistently well keeps finding one to beat him. A slight concern is the lack of committed front runners in this, meaning there’s unlikely to be a strong early pace, but this strong traveller is going to get his say sooner rather than later and is worth siding with, even though he’s been expensive to follow.

Kempton Best Bets

Race 4: IFTON (13)
Trainer: Ruth Carr
Jockey: Rab Havlin

Aside from having a shocker of a draw, IFTON ticks all the boxes and is a winner waiting to happen. He’s put in some good efforts since changing stables at the start of the season but connections decided to side-step an opportunity at Musselburgh last week in favour of this switch to Polytrack. His pilot’s only sensible option is to try to get him tucked in behind horses and hope the gaps open up for this conformed hold up performer.

Race 7: WARNING LIGHT (5)
Trainer: Shaun Keightley
Jockey: Josephine Gordon

Hat-trick seeker WARNING LIGHT carries a 5lbs penalty for a runaway win at Chelmsford last week and is unquestionably the one to beat. Competing at the same level, he will get excellent assistance from the saddle and still looks to on the right side of the assessor, having been cleverly handled to get onto an attractive mark.

Salisbury Best Bets

Race 3: AVANZATA (3)
Trainer: Henry Candy
Jockey: Jason Watson

In the colours made popular by Limato, AVANZATA can make her mark on her debut although confidence is tempered by the presence of fellow unraced fillies from high profile stables. The selection has shown ability and has a good draw. She is well thought of and should get into the money.

Race 5: GWAFA (4)
Trainer: Paul Webber
Jockey: Fergus Sweeney

Old man of the party GWAFA has run well on most of the occasions he’s competed on the Flat, latterly when chasing home Graceful Lady at Newmarket. A former winner of the valuable Swindon Hurdle, the grey looked a great shape at his trainer’s owners’ day on Sunday, and if getting his own way in front will be hard to catch.
